Superwhite R283 Posted July 22, 2016 Share Posted July 22, 2016 I've managed to get hold of a spare engine (HG failure), its an EU3 1.4 and the plan is to slowly re build it with a strong bottom end (decent or new crank, forge pistons etc or VVC 160 parts), 1.8 and a ported head. I also want to get it running off of the car on a cradle so im going to need some caterham specific bits, so here is my list:NEED:Caterham water railBottom end (block)1.8 CrankOmega or 160 pistons/rodsNICE TO HAVE:Coolant thermostat housing (have used one, but new would be nice)Caterham engine mountsCaterham dip stickCaterham engine loom (know its a long shot)Caterham wet sump gasketAny nice or new parts, ie lightweight starter/alternator/meal caps/uprated valve springs/valves etc etc Or complete engine... NickRob Posted July 22, 2016 Share Posted July 22, 2016 I have a radiator - it is the caterham one with the plastic top which was just starting to weep around the join. Be ok if you just want it as a temporary set up.Also have a catherham water temperature gauge - worked fine, I just swapped it with a Stack one to match the new mechanical oil pressure gauge.Dave Andrews had sump gaskets in stock recently.Let me know if these are any good.CheersNick Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
