gavingraysonr300 Posted October 22, 2015 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Hi my top hose on my car is looking a bit shabby was thinking of changing all the hoses to either silicone or braided has anybody got any advise on this and where to get them have looked on the internet at various silicone ones but cant seem to find much in the braided hoses. Member Jonathan Kay Posted October 25, 2015 Member Share Posted October 25, 2015 What LesG says about the aesthetics: if you can't get a good match on the orange don't introduce another colour.Most photos reveal one thing: coloured hoses dominate the engine bay!Colours from SFS.Colours from Classic Silicone Hoses, with a range of blacks to make the choice even harder. :-)Remember to specify if you need heater bits, and which types of clamps you prefer. Area Representative paul richards Posted October 25, 2015 Area Representative Share Posted October 25, 2015 GavinIf you are changing hoses consider doing the mod outlined in Low Flying some time ago. It involves taking the hose from the header tank to a T piece in the hose from the heater to the thermostat and blanking off the outlet in the metal pipe in the bottom hose.
