Area Representative paul richards Posted October 17, 2013 Area Representative Share Posted October 17, 2013 My bicycle computer has packed in after only 11 years and it cost me £12!!! I want to replace it with a separate digital clock and a GPS speedo. Clock is no problem, but speedos seem expensive. This would fit the bill, but a bit too much for my budget. Any suggestions? Member Jonathan Kay Posted October 17, 2013 Member Share Posted October 17, 2013 Would you consider using a mounted smartphone rather than a dedicated device? Jonathan
Area Representative paul richards Posted October 17, 2013 Author Area Representative Share Posted October 17, 2013 Quoting Jonathan Kay: Would you consider using a mounted smartphone rather than a dedicated device? Jonathan No. I have a good speedo app, but it's not really practical. Thanks anyway.
Myles
How about a first-gen RoadAngel? I've got one somewhere - almost certain they had a small LCD readout of speed??? Not the handiest of packages - about the size and shape of a small personal CD player, but if it's any use....?
MikeMolloy
Is this actually for a bicycle or for the Caterham? If car, then this is a bit cheaper. Edited by - Fred Gassit on 17 Oct 2013 17:12:
John Alston
Have a look at the Holux GPSport 245. I use one and swap between both Bike and Seven. The speedo is superb the clock is a bit naff but overall I think its great. You can also download your routes, speed and altitude onto you PC or Mac
