New Cat
After a wonderful week heading out to the Oldtimers Grand Prix at the Nurburgring GP circuit (absolutely superb event for those who've not been). I feel I really need to replace my standard indicator toggle switch with something of decent quality. It rarely cancels the indicators when returned to the middle position, requiring a further light touch or continuing to buzz away like it is short circuiting... Can you suggest a better quality, preferably similar style switch? Many thanks, Jon
Titanium7
Try here for a more robust one here
Dr Slotter
My students use these for various things on their Formula Student single seater (not indicators obviously!).
New Cat
Thanks, looks good, just see they have a bit of a minimum order so I'll have to choose some other stuff too
Wrightpayne
I've used savage Motorsport switches that I've picked up at stoneleigh. The on off on is SW5002. Found this supplier here You could make up a minimum order by replacing the dipped/main beam and flash switches too. Roger Ford
The Savage ones look remarkably like the Apem ones sold at Polevolt, which is what I used. Also available postfree without minimum order from CPC.
Wrightpayne
Roger just got my savage spare one out of the packet and guess what name is moulded into the plastic casing????? Apem 😬 Ian
Ozzy
Replace all your switches with the Pole Vault ones, and also fit the splashproof covers. Looks very neat afterwards
Roger Ford
I've got a load of the splash-proof covers because I never bothered fitting them. Not had a problem so far.
Klunk
Hi Jon, Maplins also sell them. Little bit more expensive but you've got a shop in Bournmouth and they tend to have them in stock. Regards, Giles
Ozzy
I've got a load of the splash-proof covers because I never bothered fitting them. Not had a problem so far. Not the point I was making. They look nicer with the covers on. More like a finished product, rather than just a nut screwed against your dashboard! Roger Ford
Quoting ozzy: I've got a load of the splash-proof covers because I never bothered fitting them. Not had a problem so far. Not the point I was making. They look nicer with the covers on. More like a finished product, rather than just a nut screwed against your dashboard! Fair enough. I think they look nicer without, but each to his own. Edited by - ozzy on 15 Aug 2013 12:59:
