zetec
Has anyone ever had this? Passenger side wheel seems to wobble more than driers side. Both are bolted up tight & not loose etc. What an this be ( not balancing)
Stationary M25 Traveller
Rolling road damage 😬 Sorry !! Bearing ? Edited by - Stationary M25 Traveller on 9 Apr 2013 14:17:
Pezky
When you say "wobble" do you mean in/out or side to side ? Does the whole wheel move when you pull it etc? As SM25T posted, could be bearings / halfshaft. You still have the Ital live axle in your car?
zetec
Sm25t 😬 Q- yer still got live axle, with quaiffe ATB diff. I"ll check the bearings . Its not sliding in & out just a wobble. Side to side & seems up & down. Does this makes sense?

Phil B
Hi Zetec, As an ex-Ital axle user, agree with SM25T. Side to side and up & down sounds like wheel bearing. Other possibility is that hub has moved/loosened slightly on halfshaft. It fits on a taper with a keyway. Check that the retaining nut which holds the hub onto the shaft is tight. English axle with salisbury plate diff and alloy nose courtesy of SPC being fitted at this moment. Phil

zetec
I seem to have "flex" in the wheel/ drum combo . At any angle i can flex the wheel & drum, knocking just a small movement
Markiebabes
Bent wheel ?
zetec
brand new & they both flex including the drums! must be halfshaft issue
Neil66
If your flex means the wheel drum combo are effectively loose then I would suspect it as a bearing issue... Ie grab the wheel at 9&3 o'clock and push back and forth, do the same at 12&6 o'clock if it feels loose or moves then suspect the bearings... If it's tight but the wheels / drums wobble when you rotate the wheel, ie like a buckled bicycle wheel, then it's likely to be bent half shafts... Edit to remove iSpelling... zetec
DAmn,sounds like bearing then, movement at any angle across the wheel, feels a little spongy if im honest ☹️
