milt
I have a 2008 Brian James Minno trailer with high level tyre rack, which I keep in our STD garage and park Caterham on it. This works fine. The problem is I really want an enclosed trailer for trips down south. Has anyone converted their Minno to enclosed type and still managed to keep it in the garage? The new BJ shuttle is too tall and the prior model could not be opened whilst in the garage as it was a clam design. Eugene
You should see the enclosed trailer Chris at The 7 Workshop made from his open trailer... amazing!!!!
Sheds Moderator
It depends how handy you are. A weekend with a few sheets of ply and some home-made bracketry would see it right, after all a BJ trailer is sturdy enough to let you screw a box to it. You'll need to be able to construct things though.

Area Representative dikko Posted September 3, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted September 3, 2011 BJ trailers recommend someone in Rayleigh Essex (Sarfend), I went to see him recently and he fabricates framework and cuts and stitches a tight cover for £1470.00 plus the VAT Plastic lasts 10 yrs.. I don't know how much he will charge to cover if you've made your own but I had a quote locally and it was £800. I feel that apart from Chris Wheelers good job in Ali a panelled one in resin/ply makes it very heavy. Carbon Fibre..yes!
rj
You could use Diebond, which is very light, and make an alloy frame.
Dee Pee
The old Quantum sports car works, a mile from where I live in Stourbridge seem to make these enclosed tops, as I've seen them in the yard when passing. Think that they're still made under the name of Quantum.
James7
Something like this shouldn't be too tall.
Area Representative dikko Posted September 6, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted September 6, 2011 Just asked Quantom and they don't do such an item..Loddiswell Devon - is that the one?
Graham Perry
A mate approached one of the Truck cover makers who specialise in 7-10 tonne plastic tented covers for open trucks where they put it over a light metal frame. They made quite a tidy job of it. Can't for the earth of me remember their name but there are several companies that can do that kind of work
Dee Pee
No, Quantum in Devon is the old kit car manufacturer, which moved from Stourbridge some years ago. If you called them they'd give you their old address/tel. no. in Stourbridge which you could then call
