k2rum
Hi, Has anyone got any details on whats involved in putting a Honda K20 engine in to a 7 i.e. does anyone make a bell housing to type 9 box and dry sump for this. I've searched the forums but not come up with much which might mean its a bad idea Many Thanks Nick..
Racingshoe
I seem to recall that it has been done before. However, the engine is tall & heavy (not a problem in an elise) so it may require some fettling of the bonnet. Blink Motorsport here used to do the conversion for Elise and Westfields, so they might know about the finer details if you enquire.

jonboylaw
I seem to remember it requires the complete Honda drive train and it rotates the wrong way... An expensive option. but I could be talking out my 🙆🏻 Edited by - jonboylaw on 26 Aug 2011 10:11:

Mankee
Bit of a topic derailment, but these Escort nutters (Irish of course!) have made a 1600 VTEC spin the other way round and bunged it into the front of a mk2, . Certainly different!
James.S
Stuart Faulds has done one (Fauldsport) Built to his silly high standards for Rich McCann. http://fauldsport.com/temp/hondanail_bay.jpg Turns the right way as well. Edited to say it goes like stink Edited by - James.S on 27 Aug 2011 21:36:

Dodda
Hi - I am also very interested in exploring the option of this engine for my 7, so any information that anyone has would be very gratefully received. Thanks Steve
James.S
Rich has outofthecity.co.uk, you can mail him thru there. I'm not sure whether he would sell but belive it is not something that can be recreated to this standard without a lot of time and green.
