Lotus Boy
As an HPC owner I am simply drooling over the thought of this 🥰 🥰. Wish I could afford it but alas not just there yet. Please don't be a spoilsport - share the pictures with us . Sounds a beautiful car and suspect it won't be around for too long. Cheers Dave ps good luck with the house project. Stuart Miller 7
I've known this car since Andy has owned it and I know the original owner. Stonking car and properly looked after. If I didn't race then I'd have already written the cheque and it wouldn't be in the for sale section. I'm sure it will go to a good home fairly quickly. Good luck with the sale....... Mort
Very nice. Looks much more fun than a new kitchen or bathroom. Nick It's life Jim, but not as WE know it!
Lotus Boy
Man. A-live!! Loving that and I second what Nick says. Kitchens etc are over rated. Think of all the fun you would have driving to various take-away establishments. Going be a tough car to replace in the future Andy when you want to get back into them. Anyway, appreciate I'm not helping much so I'll stop there but thanks for sharing. Always a joy to see these extra special Sevens. Ozzy
Wow! Didn't realise that. That was a lot of money 13 years ago then. But even so, it's held it's value much better than most performance cars. I'm sure someone will be snapping it up shortly! AndyBeadsworth
It was a lot of money indeed and not really for us mere mortals. However it did hold the World Record for a production car, 0-100-0 It was considerably cheaper than any of its rivals. Not much car for the money, but a lot of performance. I spoke to Swindon about buying an HPC and upgrading the engine to JPE Spec. £14k to get an HPC engine upto that sort of spec. However, with modern technology it would be better than JPE engine, but still not a JPE.

Area Representative Nick Chan Posted February 17, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted February 17, 2011 Glad it's sold quickly as it looked a superb car. I was very fortunate to drive the blue JPE to the Cadwell test featured in last year's EVO and it was a brilliant experience. The car had a very definite character with the 250 bhp VX engine and was a wonderful opportunity to try it out on a decent run. I reckon the new owner is very, very pleased.
