Am I the only person who does not get on with Mikalor clips?

JCS Hi-Grip are far better in my opinion - less problems with seepage from joints (I have 8 clips on my top hose alone as I have more obstacles than most to overcome 😳).

Mikalor clamps never seem to do the job properly. 😔

I understand that they are Caterham specific so no other source for standard rubber hoses. If you find differently please let me know as the latest set I have from Caterham are of very poor quality compare to my originals from 1998.

As above. The only way you could use standard hoses would be to make bits up yourself. Although it is a standard engine the layout is completely different hence bespoke hoses

The silicone hoses from third parties are not that much more expensive than the CC rubber ones and should last a lot longer which is why most people change to them when they need to replace hoses.

The also look better *cool*

Ah yes but sit on the toilet AND fit silicone hoses and you'll be a world beater

That is going to be quite a feat if your toilet and car are in similar positions to mine - i.e. the car in the garage downstairs and the toilet in the bathroom upstairs. Unless "you" sit on the toilet and get the wife to fit the hoses!

Am I missing the point *confused*
