  2. *confused*I would like to define this electrical problem! On a constant tickover of 9 thousand RPM my lights (dash/main) pulsate. Is it voltage regulator? and/or alternator? (K Series)

  5. ☹️I am thinking about either replacing the entire engine or the bottom half of my 1.8 "K" series Roadsport/Supersport. Could anybody please point me in some directions of supply or surplier or recomendations of who may be able to asist with this.

  8. Having just completed a rebuild I am questioning if after say 500 miles I should re-torque the head bolts as I am getting conflicting answers, any definate answers would be appreciated.
  9. Hi all, 😬 Has anybody heard any rumours about the above - I heard that someone who has just returned from Europe was told that these type of tyres are now illegal? 😔Any info could be mighty useful.
  10. I thank you for your interest in this subject, but it dose'nt help me me with what type of normal rubber hoses, off of what vehicles, would fit on to either a 1.6 or1.8 "K" series.
  11. I feel sure this subject has been covered many times , but could somebody please advise on replacement water hoses for 1.6 & 1.8s. CC, seem to be a bit expensive and I am sure that these hoses are from standard manufactor , Any help would be appreciated . John
  12. I had Two stone chips on my windscreen. Autoglass arrived under my insurance and repaired one which was in line of sight but the other was to close to the edge to allow the equipment to do the job. I'm happy with the results.
  13. I would like to thank you all for imput on my original request. I have just recieved LF and read the article which was quite oppertune!!, anyway I have just finnished rebuilding the bottom half of the engine and decided to OMIT the baffle and drilled holes in the ledge on the bottom sump gasket. Studying that area I decided to follow a logical pattern and I suppose only time will tell. I thank all contributors once again. - John.
  14. I have decided to remove the Foam Baffle from my 1.8 "K" series. I wondered if anybody knew of a pattern for the suggested extra holes in the alluminium plate, I have had info on drilling holes arround the oil pick-up but size and position suggestions would be helpful.- Thanks in advance.
  15. I believe this was the 21 which sold at "Coy's" late last year - Lovely example!
