  1. Now the car has gone, I have a set of 15" CR500's cluttering up my Garage. 2 x 195/45/R15 with 3-4 mm 2 x 245/40/R15 with 2-3 mm. The rears are really only suitable for Track use, but the fronts have got some life in them. A donation to NTL is all that is required to be the proud new owner of these tyres. I am away until Sunday, so if anyone is interested, it is first to respond on here who wins the prize.
  2. If you are running the air con and it is working hard, the engine often restarts very quickly, although 2 seconds sounds a bit extreme.
  3. Someone must want this! If you think it is too dear, why not make me an offer?
  4. Should also fit the CSR. Just look at the weather - surely someone needs to keep the rain off their seats!!

    Radiator

I feel your pain. I can't be bothered to google the early dates of the motor car, but we can put men in space, apparently put men on the moon, used to be able to fly supersonic in a passenger aeroplane, so in the name of all that's Holy, why can't we keep hot water in a Caterham? After 3 years of engine problems, coolant losses, engine rebuilds, more engine problems and more coolant losses, more engine rebuilds, I have changed all my hoses and (again) pressure tested the system and now my Radtec radiator appears to be leaking. Does wtf actually sum up my position? *confused* *confused*
  7. You think you have problems! My Minno Max handbrake was left off for the winter and as a result there are no problems with the trailer brakes. Much more of a problem was having to winch the car off the trailer with a comprehensively locked rear O/S wheel. Credit to Brian James. The non slip surface on the ramps made the exercise just that - a lot of exercise. 😬 😬

    horn!

Quoting CageyH: Stebel Magnum horns - 136 db 😳 Just don't use them on a trackday. 😬 😬
  9. The gate on the 6 speed is fairly narrow and when I first had my car, I frequently went from 4th back to 3rd instead of across into 5th. I don't do it any more, I guess because I am more familiar with the car but I am always a bit nervous when other people drive the car.
  10. Steve If you mean the square section black elasticky band, I have one which I took off the electric guage when I went mechanical opg last year. I can stick it in the post tomorrow if you want it. Mark Edited by - Sigmamark on 14 Mar 2011 21:51:15

    Yoko AO48s

I have 3, 185/60/13 Yoko AO48s which are not road legal, but there should be a trackday or two left in them. Free to good home. Collect from Charfield, South Glos, or I can take them to Llandow on the 26th. Edited by - Sigmamark on 13 Mar 2011 22:18:38
  12. Racingshoe No sign of any message anywhere!! My car is a 2001SV with a K Series lump in it. The "Sigma" is a throwback to my yacht owning days, so nothing to do with Ford engines. 😬 You can email me direct at markn55@btinternet.com Regards Mark
  13. Racingshoe. I have a standard 0 - 8 Bar Black faced Caterham branded guage sitting on a shelf in my garage where it has been since I converted to a mechanical OPG. The original sender is sat next to it! I am just north of Bristol, so if they are any use to you, drop me a message. Mark
  14. Thanks Roger. I guess I need to get a tape out and go and measure up a Minno Rack. I did think of buying one of the Minno Racks that have been for sale recently and hiring some tube benders to effect a good fit or even cutting and adding some spacing tubes on the cross pieces. My main concern about using a narrower rack is that my car is a SV and therefore already a tight fit on the Minno Max. If the tubes leaned in even slightly, I am not sure that they would clear the cycle wings. Brian James want £318 for a rack and about 4 weeks to manufacture, so maybe the answer is to drop the back seats of my towcar and just bung the wheels in there!!
