Compomotive Wheels - Bulk Buy - FINAL DETAILS 8.5.08

Recommended Posts

PLEASE NOTE, THERE IS NO PROFIT IN THIS FOR ME.

This is basically a trade rate for the L7C. We are offered 24% discount which comes in around 15% less than I could find elsewhere.

Due to production run requirements, Compomotive would prefer to offer this deal on 13” ML and CXR versions only. Standard colours are silver white or black.

Link to the Comomotive Website for the ML and CXR ranges here

The 13”x7” ML1370 weighs 6.2Kg compared to CXR1370 at 5.5Kg if that helps you to decide.

The range of sizes and widths and colour options available, along with the prices and discounts are as per the following table. These are subject to carriage as detailed further down.

LOTUS 7 OWNERS CLUB

16/4/08 BULK BUY UNIT PRICE INCLUDING VAT

COLOURS AVAILABLE ARE SILVER, WHITE OR BLACK.

PRICE IS PER WHEEL. THE DISCOUNT IS BASED ON THE COMBINED ORDER SO IF THE ORDER IS FOR 48 WHEELS THEY ARE ALL AT THE 24% RATE REGARDLESS OF SIZE OR STYLE.

..........................4 (10%)...12 (17%)... 20 (20%)...48 (24%)

6 X 13......CXR/ML...£98.35......£91.11......£88.01......£83.87

6.5 X 13....CXR........£102.58....£95.01......£91.77......£87.44

7 X 13......CXR/ML...£106.81.....£98.91......£95.53.....£91.02

8 X 13......CXR/ML...£117.50.....£108.86....£105.16....£100.23

8.5 X 13... CXR........ £124.90.....£115.69....£111.74....£106.48

9 X 13......CXR/ML...£132.31.....£122.52....£118.32....£112.73

PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO A COLOUR SURCHARGE OF £8.50 PER WHEEL FOR GOLD OR GREY

PRICES INCLUDE CHROME 2.5" PLASTIC CAPS HOWEVER NUTS OR BOLTS ARE NOT SUPPLIED.

ALL WHEELS ARE MANUFACTURED TO SUIT 60 DEGREE TAPER SEAT NUTS.

ALL WEIGHTS OF WHEELS ARE APPROXIMATE & WILL VARY WITH OFFSET OF WHEELS.

SINGLE PALLET TO POSTCODE RH £88.13 OF 48 WHEELS. CARRIAGE PRICE INCLUDES VAT.

MANUFACTURING TIME IS APPROX 14>28 DAYS FROM RECEIPT OF ORDER & PAYMENT. DELIVERY TIME CAN BE DELAYED DUE TO NON AVAILABILITY OF CASTINGS & NON STANDARD COLOUR OF WHEELS.

PAYMENT CAN BE MADE BY CHEQUE, CREDIT CARD OR BANK TRANSFER. COMBINED ORDERS NEED TO BE MANUFACTURED & PAID FOR AT THE SAME TIME ON ONE ORDER & 1 PAYMENT. FOR ORDERS OF 48 WHEELS OR MORE WE CAN ACCEPT 50% DEPOSIT WITH ORDER / 50% PRIOR TO DESPATCH.

There will probably be a further discount if we get to 100 wheels plus.

A pallet costs around £90 and will hold up to 48 wheels so a full pallet works out at around £7.50 per set.

As we are only just at the numbers required for 24% discount, it will not be worth having the 3 delivery addresses as first suggested. Therefore I propose that they all come to one address in Surrey (most of us are down here) and they are either collected from there or you would need to pay the cost of onwards transit which I can get for around £25 per set up to 30kg.

There is also an offer from Andy G to collect and bring to Walsall in the midlands for £40 for any number of wheels which may be worth considering. I'll put a question on the order sheet re your preference.

You will need to supply all size requirements including offsets PDC etc and Compomotive will produce your wheels in accordance with that so make sure you have this right. There is a post on Tech Talk re this which I think should help you.

Manufacturing time is 21 to 28 days.

So it would seem that a set of 2 of 13x6 and 2 of 13x7 would be about £350 plus £7.50 carriage if collected from the one delivery address in Surrey if we can hit the numbers required for the 24% discount. This is against around £420 delivered direct if ordered from other places.

I will need you to Blatmail me with your email address ASAP so that I can send you the order form. Once these are in, I'll forward them to Compomotive who will issue a pro forma invoice. They will begin production on receipt of payment.

If you are happy to send a cheque payable to Compomotive with your order for around 60% of your order value, it will save a little time as there are few of us that would like these as soon as possible. Special colours etc may delay production so bear that in mind. When I collate the order, I'll insist they confirm the final price before they cash any cheques in case of any mishaps.

If anyone else wants to take advantage of this, please add your details to the post and Blatmail me too.

Sorry, No longer require 4 off wheels as I have purchased 4 off MB wheels with slicks from another blatchatter. I'd buy both but cannot afford it at the moment ☹️.

Appologies if this causes any problems,

All the best,

Rob

Jeremy... have too many wheels, so will not be takikng up your deal.

However, if you want (as with other BBs) to have the bulk order sent here to the farm, we can cope with pallets and perhaps even despatch - just a thought.

Come on chaps 😬

Assuming quantity discount for 48 wheels i'll take another 4 CXR, sizes to be confirmed.

This is a very good price *thumbup*

You can never have too many wheels, just don't tell the missus *eek*

Edited to add 4 x CXR in black

2 x 7" x 13" ET20

2 x 8" x 13" ET20 I think *eek*

32 wheels so far. This gets us to 20% discount so the example set would be £368 plus carriage. We need 16 more!

You can order individual wheels, pairs etc so it doesn't need to be a full set.

Any more takers?

Appreciate the bulk buy is focusing on 13 inch wheels, but I am currently in the market for 4 new 14x6 minilites (ML 1460).

Offset will need to fit 2000 Superlight R.

Preferred colour - black centres with normal (silver?) or polished rims.

If I can participate in the bulk buy, would be grateful if you could confirm price. Will need the wheels for the Monster blat weekend (end May) - not sure if this fits with your current delivery dates etc - assuming you get to 48 wheels?

Thanks *smile*

Excellent work.

I am possibly intererested in 1 or 2 sets provided we get to the 24 % discount but I am confused on the actual price.

Assuming 2* 13 by 7 and 2* 13 by 8.

The example price says : "So it would seem that a set of 2 of 13x7 and 2 of 13x8 would be about £350 plus £7.50 carriage if collected from the ‘staging post’ if we can hit the numbers required for the 24% discount."

Fine but the table says :

..........................4 (10%)...12 (17%)... 20 (20%)...48 (24%)

7 X 13......CXR/ML...£106.81.....£98.91......£95.53.....£91.02

8 X 13......CXR/ML...£117.50.....£108.86....£105.16....£100.23

Which by my maths is two £100.23 and two £91.02 ie £382.04 rather than £350.

I am not one to lose sleep over 30 quid but just wondered.

Thanks for the hard work on this.

Will

Yes Will, you are absolutely right. It is meant to (and in fact does now) read 2 of 13x6 and 2of 13x7.

Sorry for the confusion.

Have checked with Compomotive direct re lead times. Apparently they do not keep the 14 inch MLs on the shelf, so would need to manufacture a batch. Earliest they could do this will be around 3 to 4 weeks. Unfortunately I cannot run the risk of them not turning up before the Monster Blat - so after all that it is probably best that I do not participate in the bulk buy *redface*

Hope you get to 48 wheels *thumbup*

I have lost track of how many more rims are needed to get the best possible discounts, plus I have been out on the pop 😬

Speaking from past experience of organising bulk buys, I know the effort involved for the small amount of personal reward in knowing that you have got a good product at a good price and helped fellow club members at the same time.

So a very big thanks from me for jemerybu for getting us so far *thumbup*

Come on lads & lasses, someone somewhere must want another set of rims *wavey*

Hi

2 off 13x6 and 2 off 13 x 7 CXR in Black for me please. Thanks for sorting the bulk-buy *biggrin*

Need advice on the offset - I am waiting for a new Escort Axle with Ford fitment to replace my broken Ital....what will I need for the Escort Axle?

A midlands pick-up would be ideal for me.

Hi all,

Sorry for lack of input. We've been away for a few days moving mother to Scotland.

I think Rob is right, one more set to go. I'll have an add up tomorrow and also see if I can get together some info on offsets which may help.
