  1. As ever POBC thank you. Jonathan - Google doesn't, yet, come with the credence of having read the poster's other opinions for a few years or the very handy search summary you provide.
  2. A colleague of mine (honestly!) put about 250ml of windscreen washer fluid into her Z4 coolant tank in error this morning. It's leaking coolant somewhere and was topped up with a further 500ml of coolant premix so will be going to the garage to get checked and flushed out shortly but is there a problem with driving it now? Thanks in advance.
  3. Oh go on then. Happy to help. What weekend is convenient? But the gearbox hoop I can test length, breadth, K sump and nosecone clearance for you.
  4. Sounds like Peter G on his way back from the Paul Marriott Memorial Blat.
  5. There were sections where she wasn't holding us up! A well peddled landy.
  6. aha. The 'Last post' summary on the front page doesn't refresh so you have to navigate away from the forums page in order to refresh (although it still doesn't update teh last post summary) and then go back into the forum to find your post. So the bug is now refresh of last post summary.
  7. If you can sell cars this quickly you're either in the wrong job or underpricing them!
  8. I found my local MG franchised service centre could get anything I've needed at Rimmer Bros prices but without passing on the delivery charge. But I'd try Oily first 😶‍🌫️
  9. The CSR version fitted my 2003 SV fine
  10. I think Loop Theory's is red. Or it could be someone else
  11. Beg Dave to go on his short notice cancellation list? Although you have to be able to go should the call come. It worked for me but I doubt Dave has too many book his time and then pull out or forget.
  12. Not me. Wish it was. Too much time in the office and not enough time behind the wheel at the moment.
  13. Should Think fall below their usual standards Redline would be worth a call.
  14. This will be for an S3 so won't fit my SV.
  15. Which side is the half door for? And is it a shaped on or fabric?
  16. I'm looking for a headrest that I can adapt to something like this so there is a little more room behind my helmet. Anyone got one lurking in the garage they would be happy to part with? Thanks in advance,
  17. A small swatch of Velcro sewn on?
  18. Well that was a struggle. It turns out the retaining brackets were the least of the problems - poppers were in the wrong place. When the aero advert said 'holes drilled in error' I thought that meant the extra holes I could see not the holes the poppers were in. Or it could be that they're all slightly different or TADTS. So having drilled the poppers out twice, fashioned a reinforcing plate to cover the now holey carbonfibre, fitted and adjusted the mirrors it was time to cook dinner so job for tomorrow is drive it!
  19. Nothing but the bolts through the skin holding the windscreen on here. (2003 SV)
  20. Thanks both, will have another look armed with the new info. 6speedmanual - Lots hopefully if I can work off the Husband Point overdraft I have built up. Fish and Chip Run and Stoneleigh in the diary though.
  21. One of the winter's upgrade projects has been to go aero. Retaining brackets have been supplied by Redline (excellent as usual ) but I can't get them to fit. The brackets are these albeit a pair of left and right handed ones. If I put the longer piece lower most the nuts are too high. The other way up and the bar is too long to fit given the angle of the dash. I think I can make it fit by removing the 'arm' part but not convinced this is right else why would it be there. Anyone else worked this out already? And do I have to remove the wiper motor too to fit the left hand side?
  22. I suspect I'm not the only one who has a file of paper to go with the car but it's just proved to be useful. Invoice reads: 1 x Product code CVF7-4 "One way valve flap -4JIC" £56.34 2 x Product code HETF7-4-3 "-4JIC FML straight for -3TFE" £10.00 Plus VAT. Order dated July 2012.
  23. Bought, yes. Fitted, no - Dave (DVA Power) fitted my Apollo whilst I tried to keep out of his way. It does as many before me have described. Think fitted the valve to the breather for me. You're welcome to a look and I'll dig out the paperwork to find what I bought on Think's recommendation. PS How you missed me grinning a waving like a loon in towcester on Saturday is beyond me.
  24. I have a dremel you are welcome to borrow - not sure if i would want to take it to your car though!
  25. I had a simliar experience late last year - resolution was a good jolt courtesy of a pothole which evidently freed the float. So far, so good. Not sure how you engineer a potholesque jolt if you have properly maintained roads though.
