  1. Other threads have had an 'expanding foam in a bin bag' solution for child bumper seats. That set up might work for a bespoke feet plant if you're after a brace position or, with some shaping, a trapezoid box that could be removed as required. There's also a cautionary tale somewhere about expanding foam and a canoe that may be worth reading first too.
  2. That all looks familiar. Tip from @Oilyhands is to elevate the front. Chock the rears. Set the jack on boards and lift. And lift. More. Is the jack at max height? That'll probably do. Is it high-lift? Even better Start and on tick over, there will be a series of burps and farts for 5 minutes until you are 'purged'.
  3. Ah shucks. That's too far to be tempting for me. Ahm oot. (Not that I need it really before anyone offers)
  4. It may also be a little 'full fat' for a first one!
  5. Thread resurrection courtesy of the Google search c/o JK. Revilla the links all get me error 403 or 404 (but you published years ago so not surprising). Are these still available please?
  6. IME it depends if you have a one way valve in the breather pipe at the top to hold oil in the apollo to reduce the time taken for oil to circulate at start up. (Which in itself maybe hogwash). If you do I would recommend draining it as there will be a up to a couple of litres in there which will dilute the new oil. If not it will have all drained into the lower sump and, but for a very little, drain from there.
  7. Now located in the MK council tip (i.e. no longer available)
  8. Front and rear cycle wings available. Rear LHS is 'cut out' for a K exhaust from an SV in MG Trophy Blue. All very well used. Star-bursts, scratches and gravel rash included. Have been replaced as part of freshening up and respray but may be of use if you're racing or on a very tight budget. Located in Milton Keynes.
  9. Another happy user of the Gemzoe bulbs here. Really simple straight swap. (I appreciate you're looking for the whole unit but may be of interest to others)
  10. Due to out-braking a motorbike earlier in the year Arch are replacing my rear basket Another casualty was the left rear wing. As an early SV with a K Series the wing is a 'cut out' which is no longer in production. Anyone got one stashed away that they could be persuaded to part with? Colour irrelevant as repaint already in scope.
  11. Sadly it didn't happen - lockdown/wfh did mean less traffic but the cameras, traffic lights and 20 mph limits that remained put me off.
  12. On the upcycle theme: flywheel, cam and a few vvc bits became this. It's banned from the house as ugly though.
  13. Thanks Stu. It is an early SBFS hood and has spent around 15 years folded so I can't be surprised. More water comes in through other gaps so it's all part of the experience. I just wouldn't do it again if I were to replace it though.
  14. Thanks but courtesy of SM25T i've learnt the reproofing trick. My point is that by folding the windscreen end of the hood so it fits tidier in the boot I now have 2 very small kinks/creases in the piping that should form a seal at the top of the windscreen. And as such it no longer perfectly seals. The solution is check the weather before heading out of stay topless and above 40mph.
  15. I've had mine folded as per many above but have noticed that when used the rain comes in through crease points at the top of the windscreen. It's all tight and poppered on but there's enough of a fold for rain ingress. if I were to buy again I would NOT fold. edited to add a fundamental NOT.
  16. Another happy with Grangers here (but that's after SM25T pointed out the reason I was damp and he wasn't rather than originality of thought on my part)
  17. Like Revilla mine's mapped to 95ron so that's what it gets but I do look for Shell over supermarket fuel in case the stories of additives are true. That and the Shells in these parts are well placed for testing of the fuel in the usual manner.
  18. I could be tempted too Long time no see Markiebabes!
  19. Now it's sold I'll bite. @Doctor - so what?
  20. 64 plate, 40k miles, full BMW service history, 12 months MOT (no advisories, again) full leather interior, sat nav, lumbar support, metallic grey. New tyres earlier this year. £8995 ono. Owned from new, great car IMO but selling as 'we' now want an Audi TT and the trade in is risible. located in Milton Keynes, easy walk from station.
  21. Out of curiosity I made some calls. Yes MG will still sell you a brand new one. But at £6005. Plus VAT!!! (That's +20% tax if you're not familiar with UK taxation) Suddenly the 20,000 miler on Autotrader at £2,900 looks good value. And it comes with a free MG6.
