  1. Try to track any electrical naughties by taking the bonnet of in the dark - worked for me when I had French cars ! WD40 to hand ! Engine running of course !
  2. You are probably sorted by now, but a quick tip to find electrical worries is to position the car somewhere very dark and try the starter. If the car starts even lumpily ,you will see any tracking of the electrics easily. Always works for me - keep some WD40 to hand. Good luck !
  3. My x-flow loves Magnatec so much that she never wastes a drop and keeps it all to her sump !
  4. My neighbour is very keen onwatches and he uses Watch Doctors in Tring and they look after him very nicely.Price list on their website.

    VXR engine

New Astra VXR engine @ 267 BHP AND 400 nm of torque - shame it's FWD only . Might not fit anyway but 4 WD would be tempting. Doable?
  13. Just had a look at the ETC site on Ebay- it seems very comprehesive . What persuades people to choose mohair over vinyl and do you have to waterproof the mohair often ?
  14. Thank you all for your advice.
  15. Hello there - my first post as a new owner. Numpty question I expect but please how do you fill the tank up reasonably quickly ? A special way of inserting the nozzle ? Am incurring unwelcome remarks ! 1994 X- Flow with standard fuel tank / cap. Also I've been advised not to " oil " the Weber paper air filters- just brush and remove detritus with gentle air pressure. Correct ?
