  1. The website still has a whole tab dedicated to the Renault joint venture!!!
  2. Hi, I plan to upgrade from the standard to track day roll over bar on my 2012 SV. How much of the rear suspension do I have to remove to gain access to fit the two bolts from below? Does anyone who has done this before have any hints or tips to help the swap go smoothly? Thanks.
  3. Thanks Jonathan, sadly, the assembly guide doesn't show the Duratec + Roadsport wiring configuration. Have emailed CC. Finger's crossed....
  4. Hello, does anybody have a wiring diagram, including a list of fuses and relays, for a 2012 175 Duratec Roadsport (standard dash)? (The current build manual only shows Sigma and R400 diagrams, and the fuses shown in these diagrams are rather different.) My car has the following fuses (top to bottom, when viewed in the car): 5A 15A 15A 10A 7.5A 5A 15A 7.5A 10A (I know this one - it's for the aux power socket) 15A 15A 20A 15A 10A 7.5A 7.5A 10A 10A Thanks.
  5. My 2012 Roadsport has one of these (as did my 2010 Roadsport before it): here The rubber grip seems pretty firmly attached, but I'm sure I could drift it off with a piece of wood and a big enough hammer... Would somebody like to post a picture of the 'new style' lever, so that we can marvel at it?
  6. Looking forward to somebody posting some really detailed photos of the all new diff carrier, back plate, and brake pipe routing. Time to give Caterham a call and get a booking...
  7. Just replaced the T piece on my 2012 2.0 Duratec, with this: http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/Brass_Tee_19mm_BTEE19 The good news is that the Caterham part I took off seems to be this: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=4299 and seems rather good - very thick walled, and apparently pretty strong, rather than the smaller part found on Duncan's Sigma. So, perhaps those of us with the larger 19mm part need not worry? But, I'm happy that I now have a metal part in place, none the less. Thanks for the tip.
  8. Got both letters. My brake line is ok, so will wait until April to have both permanent fixes done at the same time. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to getting this resolved. Hopefully the reason for the delay until April is that they have some kind of validation program underway for the new design (accelerated durabililty test at MIRA or similar) - I'm sure they don't want to start updating cars, only to find further issues later on....
  9. CC now use a "permanent" double sided white foam tape for both the front and rear plates. Incredibly strong - really hard to get off. Unfortunately, they were a bit mean with it on my rear plate, and it blew off one day, shortly after collecting the car.....
  10. Hi, I think the bonnet is sized assuming you've got the 3x10mm foam tape fitted along the edge of the nose cone and scuttle. I've recently replaced the tape, as CC hadn't positioned it very well (it's real pain to get the old tape off..). Without the tape, the bonnet seemed very loose; when the fresh tape was on, I could only just close the rear clips...after a week or so, the tape becomes permanently compressed, and now the bonnet is just snug. Could this be enough to explain what you are seeing?
  11. Hi Peter, I think the bolts that have been falling out for people are the ones at the front of the diff on either side, not the bolts at the back that strike the De Dion. Perhaps two completely unrelated issues? The "fix" for the loosening front bolts is the fitment of Nord-Lock washers. CC seem to have fitted some to my car, (I presume at the first service in the summer this year), because there are 2 different colour paint pen marks on these 2 bolts (the green that is on every bolt on the car, and yellow presumably added when the washers were retro fitted and torqued to spec). 12. Perhaps CC have changed their thinking recently on underseat carpetting..? The SV I built in 2010 was supplied with carpet, and it made seat adjustment very stiff. My 2012 factory built SV has no carpet under the seats...of course, could be a misbuild....
  13. October edition of Caterham Life is on the CC website. This month's friendly face is George Campbell! Had rather hoped his picture would show him holding a modified diff carrier, but it seems to be a steering wheel ....
  14. Thanks for the comprehensive update pmobbs. Presumably, this means that the "new" level diff carrier is just a containment action, and perhaps CC are working on a further and proper redesign that robustly gives adequate clearance... Let's hope so...
