  1. Yes thanks all - my local garage who look after my X-flow have cleaned the assembly today and all seems well at the moment but obliged for all the information. FYI Jonathan : RCP @ Milton Common quite close to you and a really good bunch. They tell me lack of use probably caused the problem.......
  2. Should I need to replace a caliper, am I correct in thinking this to be sourced from the Spitfire parts bin. For my 1996 SuperSprint X- flow .
  3. I seem to recall that someone on here reckoned it was from the original mini.....
  4. I think you'll find that Johan is asking about possible ramp and sump problems. Seems sensible to ask the train people direct would be my plan.
  5. Interesting -thank you both.
  6. I'm wondering if and when hardened and thus leaking O-rings are renewed, whether the carbs. require a complete retune or would the status quo remain? Also does anyone have a notion as to the cost of a new set of coolant hoses for an X-flow ie Samco silicone or the standard rubber and which type is advised? Many thanks.
  7. Well I pretty much agree with what's been said except for the hand brake issue. When I'm properly strapped in I find it impossible to reach the handle at all! Hill starts are therefore best avoided. The car is as quick as I would ever want it to be and they sound sublime when about their business......Go for it !
  8. And there was I thinking it was a town in Anatolia...........
  9. Longer vigorous pumping, freshly charged battery and bingo we're off and running ! Sun is shining too so good luck Terry. Thank you all for help in this.
  10. Mechanical pump Terry. I will have another look at the problem tomorrow when the weather is kinder - good luck to you as well ! Pressure building as the MOT is booked for this Friday.
  11. I'm also having grief with my Crossflow after its winter hibernation. No fuel is getting to the Webers despite vigorous throttle pumping. As mentioned above perhaps the floats are stuck so is there a trick to freeing these without taking stuff apart with the danger of knackering the gasket/s ? Failing my suspicions what else might be stopping the fuel getting to the carbs ? tank is 3/4 full !
  12. Have a look at that area when it's dark - any leakage is then very visible and easy to trace with the engine running of course!
  13. Far left of dashboard on my Xflow looks good with a minimal run to the battery.
  14. An endearing name for the Gallic Law enforcers - let's hope they have a sense of humour !
  15. lovely car and equally lovely pink shorts.

Aston Hill @ 1530 with 2up - well looked more like 1.5 souls when I followed in my Berlingo !
  17. Indeed they are but I'm now sorted. However, these I'm guessing, would have been the better offer had I waited a little ! May help someone else maybe but thank you anyway for your help.
  18. Thanks for that but I've had a quick shufti and although quite similar there are significant differences. I'll keep on the case !
  19. Before I resort to Ebay I'm wondering if there is one of these gathering dust somewhere and I've had no joy from Wipac themselves. Embossed on the glass and saying series 210 SAE R72 with a WIPAC logo centre stage ! Xflow 1993 vintage. Happy to take the whole assembly but it's just the glass I need. Cheers.
  20. Have cosied up to an X-flow recently....?
