  1. Black suede covered wheel with attached Racetech QR adaptor. Unmarked and in mint condition. £150 plus postage (if required). /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Momo%201.jpg/sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Momo%202.jpg/sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Momo%203.jpg
  2. Jonathan, No data yet - not been out to the car recently due to a slight left thumb problem - large splinter down the nail has left me v grumpy. Penicillin plus a 2 week wait, only then will they take it out! Aargh.
  3. Ian, Levels are spot on.
  4. Martin: battery age unknown (I bought the car last year) but the previous owner said it was his second and he'd only had the car a few years! Jonathan: I will try and get the measurements tomorrow sometime. Thanks.
  5. I think I already know the inevitable answer to this question so here goes nothing... 7 is garaged, without any auxiliary power, and driven every few weeks. Alarm fitted but no battery isolator. Over the winter the car has refused to start and all that happens on start-up is a fast clicking sound or nothing at all. Battery 'appeared' flat so purchased a small, lithium, portable, powerpack, which did the trick (it works every time). Repeat all the above every few weeks. NB: The battery is topped up as per. So, the clicking is the solenoid I presume, with insufficient juice to turn the engine etc? The battery is not even charging up on long runs - I have to carry the portable to re-start at refueling stops! I have now (for 3 days) had it connected up to the ex-Carcoon charger/conditioner but it is only showing about 11 volts max across the terminals at rest and about 13.5 when connected to the charger. Is the Banner goosed??
  6. I was too busy waving to read the plate! I was in the black s/sport.
  7. Nothing to do with me but what about these - http://www.amber-assessors.co.uk/our-services.asp
  8. I knew Ollie would sort you out once you got the car to him.
  9. As I wear glasses I struggle to keep them on my face due to buffeting - what are the views on wearing a helmet (full or open face with a visor) to both protect your face from gravel/dust (I regularly get stuff in the face) and to reduce wind effects?
  10. I don't want to lay up the 7 over winter and wondered about how often I should be going out (obs: as often as possible!) and then for how long to ensure temps etc are enough etc. Any advice on this and related pitfalls, thanks.
  11. Does anyone have experience of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Minimax-20000mAh-Portable-Car-Batter-Jump-Starter-Power-Bank-Battery-Charger-SOS-/201676672082?var=&hash=item2ef4ddcc52:m:m2-jQc1U9SXZHzko4Sb7O6g It seems so cheap (actually approx. £35) I wouldn't be risking much....but do they work?
  12. Black, old style SBFS half hood without rear window, complete with fitting straps and storage wrap. Good condition with the odd mark but should clean up OK. £50 plus postage.
  13. I have some experience with Phoenix and have been very happy to date. They checked over two Caterhams I was looking to buy and didn't charge me for doing it. Plus they provided some excellent advice when I had a damaged one. Nice blokes.
  14. SM25T, Do you men these? If so, do they need a relay or are they straight swaps? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/151744572665?lpid=122&chn=ps&adgroupid=27378760866&rlsatarget=pla-181484340306&adtype=pla&poi=&googleloc=9046619&device=c&campaignid=620865095&crdt=0
  15. Does the Summit version vibrate much under typical driving conditions? The current mirror I have (make unknown) is useless above about 40mph as the image becomes nonsense!
  16. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=165538&productId=1291394&storeId=10001 This link relates to some Halfords bulbs being discussed in 'another place' (PH)... Does anyone have a view on these? E.g. straight swap, legal, relay issues, etc, etc?
  17. This is one approach to fitting a tool canister in a 7. So, firstly I selected a suitable position for locating the tool canister. As there isn't a lot of room under the bonnet on my Supersport I chose to place it on the opposite side to the Apollo tank, as below: /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Canister%20location.jpg Next, I needed to make a small bracket to support the front of the canister. This didn't take long as I had some scrap stainless steel 1mm thick plate knocking about (it's a sort of semi-random shape): /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Bracket%20fabrication.jpg This plate was then attached using a spare bolt hole in the chassis flange next to the headlamp bracket: /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Bracket%20location.jpg The kink in the bracket is needed to bring the main bracket up to the bottom level of the canister mounting plate. I added some self adhesive padding: /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Bracket%20padding.jpg The canister was then placed in position and attached using 2 small bolts complete with lock washers. The canister completely covers the bracket. I added 2 tie wraps for a 'belt and braces' approach: /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Canister%20attached.jpg Here is the final picture, with the nose re-attached: /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Nose%20refitted.jpg Job done! It took about an hour to complete. Thanks for checking out this short build-blog.
  18. I too have cloudy marks but on the front wings, on my newly acquired S3. There seems little info on Utube - I am hoping someone has come across this problem and found a solution....please.
  19. Thanks Jonathan. That's helpful and makes sense. I was just getting a bit edgy thinking it meant something weird.
  20. Yes, from "Chassis Numbers - what do they mean?".
  21. Chassis number shows type as 'Alternative'.....does anyone know what that means? It's a 1998, S3, factory built.
