  1. Hi everyone, is there anyone nearish to Whitchurch with a 7 fitted with tillets? I am thinking of changing to these seats from my leather ones but need to try one out first! TIA. Edit: I have made contact with someone not far away.
  2. This might seem a stupid question..... Will these bulbs fit a 1999 imperial car fitted with the smaller headlamp units and without any wiring mods etc?
  3. On Mauldeth Road, near the tram stop, looking good!
  4. JK: thanks. SM25T: OK. Grumpy: not that I recall, I was driving along a dual carriageway the last time and it was in traffic, moving between 40 and 70mph.
  5. I have a similar problem - the temperature drops randomly from mid-80's (quickly, in a few seconds) to between 60 & 70 for no apparent reason and then back up again after several minutes (up to approx. 15 sometimes). I have not yet cleaned any contacts but will do that before I drive it again. I do not know/understand the workings of the sender or gauge so any explanation of how the sender could be apparently partially working would be helpful. I would expect it to either work correctly or not work at all.
  6. Thanks guys. I will follow your advice.
  7. The main exhaust connector clip has become slightly loose. I noticed it was blowing a bit on a recent blat and on checking it on cold it is slightly loose - I can wobble it from side to side a tiny bit. What sort of tightness should it be? I don't want to break something! /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Exhaust%20clip.jpg
  8. Thanks for all the support, I'll do some investigating!
  9. 1.6 Supersport with an electric fan - not checked it recently but it was working fine last week....
  10. How could I check to see if it is stat problem?
  11. Just been out for a lovely drive (from Manchester to Whitchurch and back). No problems to report except when I got about 2 miles from home and I noticed the water temp gauge was showing around 70 degrees - it has never been below 80ish! Checked when I got back home and no obvious leaks or funny noises. What is going on?? [Worried of Chorlton]
  12. Greyish SV? I forgot to look at the registration, doh! I was in the blue Honda Jazz, waving and honking...
  13. IMHO we won't see any changes to things like E markings as the Government are going to adopt all the existing EU legislation into UK law and any subsequent changes will cost money.....
  14. I have one of those lithium jump packs, ~£30 from eBay. It works fine and I have had at least 3 or 4 starts out of one charge. I have never used it so much in one go it doesn't work (aren't lithium batteries funny about being run flat?) so I can't say how many starts you'd get before it was flat. I have just had a cut-off switch fitted to avoid the constant drain caused by the alarm so I don't expect to have to use it much anymore but I'll always carry it as a back-up. Mine has a good LED torch in it and USB socket for running a sat-nav or charging your phone!
  15. Jonathan - on examination of both stays it was clear to me that partly poor previous preparation prevented proper performance and so I made a damn good job of it this time! I bottled the full sausage roll, partly because it would have meant removing the indicator wiring from the stay (I forgot about this until I had the tube open....) and also because I was worried I might not have enough stuff in the tube. Poor planning etc.
  16. Right, I have used Teroson 9220 (an 80ml tube is just over £5 from RS Comps) and will be testing it around tea-time today! I cleaned off all the old black gunk (which to be fair could also have been Teroson although it was grey not black) degreased the surface of the arms (which had previously had the black paint removed) and then applied the Teroson. It went on easy, sticks well and doesn't run. I had plenty of time to create a partial sausage roll effect before it started to skin over (approx 6 mins). It takes 24 hours to completely cure so we'll see how well it works later......
  17. Jim 123 - a mix of both glue to wing and glue to wing stay. I didn't spot a big pothole and the impact just seemed to break the adhesion of the glue! It is black and sticky but not much of it - more a sandwich than a sausage roll (thanks to Jonathan for that analogy!). I will check the blog you mention. BigCol - thanks, I'll check that out.
  18. Just on the preparation, what is the best way to clean the CF prior to adhesive - denatured alcohol?
  19. Many thanks for the responses. Jonathan - I have not tried that search method but will do so from now on (the internal searches are usually very frustrating!).
  20. Following a very bumpy bit of road earlier tonight the left hand side cycle wing has come unstuck from the top stay. From a quick look a black sticky substance has previously been used to attach it but I have no idea what this is. I have tried a quick archive search but I could not find anything relevant - does anyone have some advice on what to use to re-attach the wing to the stay? NB - the wing is CF not GRP. Thanks.
  21. Black suede covered wheel with attached Racetech QR adaptor. Unmarked and in mint condition. £150 plus postage (if required). /sites/default/files/images/users/10017/Momo%201.jpg
  22. These are the ones needed when fitting the 'eyebrow' for the battery isolation switch - does anyone know the Caterham part code (or alternatively, their size etc)? Thanks.
