  1. Hi David is this still available? cheers Steve
  2. Hi I have a new all Black Alpine Stars GP Tech 2 race suit that I bought for the 2014 season but I then ended up not using it. It is a very smart, very light top spec nomex race suit, still in its bag with all labels. It was over £700 new. Size Eur 52 - so suited for around 5'7" to 5'9" 11.5 to 12.5 stone I reckon. But check the sizing charts on the Demon Tweeks website (or catalogue). I bought it when running my single seater and was at the lightest and slimmest I've been since I was about 8 years old... Now back in my Caterham and have 'relaxed' a little eating wise... There's really only so much celery any one man can eat... Advertising here before the proverbial fleabay... Looking for £350.00 - that's good value!! Cheers Steve
  3. Hi - I may be interested in the tyres - please confirm sizes cheers Steve
  4. Unused Compomotive CXR's A good friend of mine has a set of unused Compomotive CXR's for sale (I have a set of these with wets on for my Series three and they look good) Details are 2 X 7" and 2 X 6" by 13" rims in anthracite (I think that’s what the colour is called) They are Ford fitment - Measuring by backspace method they are from back edge of rim to mounting face: 120 mm on the 7" rim 100 mm on the 6" rim Fairly standard fit to Caterhams and Westfields. Also includes 3 unused CR500 tyres. Tyres are circa 10 yrs old however have been bagged and are still soft. Ideal for a bike engine kit car or as a set of spare rims for wets They are unused hence as new and would be £540 new Offered at £430 with tyres included. 5. Hi - does anyone have one of these surplus to requirements? To fit an S3 - new unused / used or damaged considered ( that would be cracked or chipped badly... But not in several pieces after a racing incident!) Thanks Cheers Steve
  6. Hi not my car but I know it - it's very pretty, very fast, hope it suits cheers http://www.uphillracers.com/showthread.php/lotus-elise-sc-11404.html Cheers Steve
  7. Hi - gearbox now sold - deposit taken Thanks for interest cheers Steve
  8. Hi - hope you got message? first number I sent had wrong code, sorry - done on mobile - it's 07836 etc.. not 07846 doh!! cheers
  9. Hi I can confirm that it's fitted with dog gears! woof woof! Cheers
  10. Hi - I will ask Quaife based on serial number ref gears, or check when I'm back. The box is a direct swap for the Caterham 6 speed as I understand it - it's the shaft length that matters. The measurements are: total length of the input shaft is 175mm the spline starts 33mm back. Total length of spline is 48mm. Hope this helps? Cheers Steve
  11. Hi - I had seen it and it was still in the browser view on my phone! Hence I was curious. I'm fairly sure it's dog gears, typically noisy but very positive. You're right, shaft length useful so I'll measure the shaft length and add. Thanks again Cheers Steve
  12. Hi there, curious ref the 'nothing here' message! you asked me: quote: Hi Steve is this dog or Helical and do you know if it's long or short input shaft? what engine was it coupled to? - To answer: I think it's dog as per techie bit above- it's rapid change and nicely geared. It was in the lovely 2.0 Duratec that I bought from Paul Cardy. I sold the engine to Mike Collins who has installed it in his lovely 'new' seven, latterly I've been running it with my 2.4 Duratec. I did 3 hillclimb events in 2014 with it and 6 in 2015, so it's hardly run in!! I can check the input shaft length if required? Thanks for your interest Cheers Steve
  13. Hi there - For sale is my Quaife QBE 60G sequential gearbox – with manual (stick shift) fitted. It’s a 2008 box (serial number 033). It has had light use in a Caterham: Has following ratios fitted: 2.400, 1.840, 1.482, 1.260, 1.104 and 1:1 It's priced to sell at £3,900.00 Cheers Steve And for those of you desperate for more technical info - here's some that I have taken from the C Bradley Motorsport site (he's brilliant to deal with by the way) Info as follows, hope it's useful: Details: The Quaife QBE60G 6-speed heavy duty in-line RWD sequential gearbox is a direct replacement upgrade for the Ford Type 9 transmission and since its launch in 2008 it has become the market leader in this sector. A high strength 80mm shaft centre design with all alloy casings enables the QBE60G to handle up to 375bhp, yet it can be installed into a MK1 / MK2 Escort or Caterham 7 without any transmission tunnel modifications. The QBE60G features a modular gear cluster, allowing easier interchangeability of gear ratios and fewer moving parts, while a drum type sequential gearchange system is allied to an open face dog design on both gear and drive disc. This produces a positive, ultra-fast gearshift - an optional flatshift or Quaife approved 'intelligent' semi-automatic paddle shift is also available. Free running gears are supported by needle roller bearings to ensure a robust geartrain, while a choice of ratios and numerous gear lever position options allows customers a wide scope for optimising QBE60G to suit their individual requirements. Weighing just 38kg, the QBE60G is ideal for rally and race use in MK1 and MK2 Ford Escorts, Ford Sierra, Caterham, Westfield and numerous rear wheel drive kit cars..

  16. Hi I'm looking for a simple seat pad (old style) for the passenger side. its for a standard 2005 S3 - has anyone got a sound one kicking about? cheers Steve
  17. Thanks for various interest on the engine to date As mentioned, this engine is coming out of my Caterham (S3 chassis) – so the parts supplied are ideally suited for install into a se7en. I thought it might be useful to confirm with a list of what's included, what's not and what's extra. Dry Sump Pump and oil hoses – the pump is included, the dry sump pan is also included but the external dry sump tank won't be as I understand that I can and will need to re-use it. Flywheel - this is included Clutch Assembly – isn't included Fuel Pressure Regulator – this will be included Coolant Hoses to Radiator – this will be included Header tank – this will be included Radiator – this will be included Water Pump – the standard water pump is included – it's not an external electric one. Starter Motor – this will be included Engine Mounts – these can be included The Alternator, Throttle bodies, fuel rail, ECU, loom, injectors, air filter, backplate, are all included with the parts mentioned above for the advertised price £5,350.00 Exhaust Manifold/ Primaries – these are Caterham parts and will be available but they aren’t included in the price as I advertised Exhaust Silencer – this is a Techcraft Mega Cat Exhaust – also available, as per manifold The price for exhaust and silencer: £600.00 I don't have a copy of the rolling road trace but I have spoken to Scholar who confirmed that the engine is one of the 250bhp versions they produced. I do have a copy letter from them confirming engine numbers plus the contacts there. A bit of background; I have had Caterhams since 1998 and been in the L7 club since then – there are a few people in the club who know me and will appreciate that I am keen to maintain a good reputation. I’m back into competing in a Caterham having had 6 years in single seaters, my early ‘retirement’ gives me the chance to build a bit of a hill-climb focussed monster, hence selling the existing Duratec. It’s difficult to warrant a used engine but my plan is to get Nigel Keats (at Cougar) to check the engine over before he de-installs it, to check cam chain, timing and valve clearances, so I can sell it and the buyer can buy it with equal confidence. I hope that this information helps? Ask away if you have any more questions. Cheers Steve
  18. Hi - Engine still available and just to say that the Caterham Stainless manifold and Techcraft silencer is also available, but the AH dry sump tank is being retained. Call for info: zero seven 836 three eight four four 73 Cheers Steve
