  1. Hi - I have a pal who is looking for a rear freestyle diffuser for a newly acquired Caterham. His details are; Paul Cardy - 07934466839 Thank you cheers Steve
  2. Tonneau now sold - only the diffuser remaining... any offers? Cheers Steve
  3. Wings and stays now sold. Cheers Steve
  4. Price Drop as per my other advert - £150.00 Cheers must be useful to someone?
  5. Hi – I have a few parts still available; Front wishbones – Wide track set-up off of 1998 De-Dion S3 – lower left is slightly squiffy after nudge of Recticel at Prescott. It’s salvageable. (I fitted new to car on both sides before sale). This also includes nearside 13” wing stay. They are useable but could really do with rubbing down and painting, so they’re an ideal purchase for those long winters evenings coming up = £70 the set. Steering Rack (Quick rack 20%) – I replaced this too. This one is actually OK – there’s no grittiness in the action and the rods appear straight. £50.00 (Worth a look if you need one in a hurry!). Rear Diffuser – This is for the above car too – never fitted (it’s as new). If you’ve been reading the aero article in the Low Flying magazine you’ll know that sorting your aero out can make a difference. I was asked what this undertray actually does by another Caterham driver. So, I asked Simon McBeath (he of the aero article fame...) who said that they do make a difference if used with other devices. These devices would specifically include using a front splitter and undertray. So, if you’re looking at doing this it could help gain some extra advantage on any higher speed runs. £200.00 (offers?) Carbon Cycle Wings and Stays (13”) – apparently these have a diagonal weave pattern. They also have cut outs to drop the wing onto the stay more efficiently and this reduces the gap between the tyre and the wing – hence reducing drag (as I understand it!)... marvellous! They’re not perfect - £150.00 the pair (offers?) Caterham Tonneau Cover. Again this is from a 1998 S3 De-Dion. it has a section let in for a driver’s side high backed seat - with a low seat on the passenger side. So, it’s ideal if you’re out for a blat or on track on your own and don’t want the passenger section flapping around! I believe that the tonneau would suit a car with a standard roll-over bar. £40.00 I will post any of the above to UK mainland addresses (if you pay the courier charges). Or you can collect – 5 minutes from J15 M40. Text - M: zero 7836 38447 three Cheers Steve
  6. Just to say these carbon cycle wings do include the wing stays... just in case that wasn’t clear? Price drop before I put them on flea bay to £250.00 and I will include 48 hour courier to mainland UK. cheers Steve
  7. Blimey - good question. The wing stays are genuine Caterham I think the wings were also from Caterham. Although I don’t recall exactly and all of the receipts went when I sold the car. I’m not sure how I describe the weave pattern? Sorry to be obtuse but can you tell me what the differences are and I’ll tell you which ones these are - or I’ll take another detailed picture or send you the high res ones I already have if that’ll help? Cheers Steve

  13. Caterham Seven Hayabusa 1580cc - Series 3 1998 - top specification and fitted with a recently rebuilt RLM 1580 Hayabusa. It is the ex Scott Moran / Tim Cross / Joy Hoyle / Roger Moran car, presented in ‘Moran’ Citroen Mango Orange. Car is fully Road registered and has a MSUK logbook. Currently set-up to run in Midland Hill Climb Championship Class D - Modified Production. Could be reverted to Roadgoing Class or ideal track-day car. Briefly: 235bhp 1580 Hayabusa: The engine was originally built by RLM Racing (it was fully refreshed early 2018 by Cougar Engineering: during the refresh the gearbox was checked and fresh ratios fitted where needed) Full Shiftec Paddle Shift set-up – onboard air bottle plus refill system MBE ECU and 24V starting set-up Dry sump oil system SPC Twin Plate LSD (fitted brand new in August 2018) Quantum Double Adjustable Shocks all round – (Rears brand new 2018, Fronts factory serviced 2018). Full Caterham MSA Certificated Roll-cage (Re-powder coated January 2018) 8 Litre bespoke Fuel tank, new fuel pump January 2018 New Bailey Morris Prop 2018 Bespoke Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold and Silencer Caterham Carbon Fibre Tillet Seat Caterham Carbon Aeroscreen (full width) Caterham CSR Front Cycle Wings and Stays – new January 2019 Carbon Rear Wings 2 Sets of Lightweight Alloys: Force 3-piece Split Rims Polished Alloys fitted with Avon Slicks Mike Barmby Split Rims Polished Alloys fitted good Avon cut wets Full Body Re-spray 2018 – Citroen Mango Orange New Front End December 2018 – including wishbones, all joints/fixings, new steering rack, new steering column, new detachable steering boss, roll bar bushes Carbon Nose Cone plus new GRP Caterham Nosecone and Grill New batteries January 2019 MSA LogbookHistory: This is a Series 3 Caterham built and registered in 1998 that has a fantastic competition history being initially owned by multiple British Hill Climb Champion Scott Moran – who was very successful in the Midland Hill Climb Championship Roadgoing Class in it. It was then owned by Tim Cross who also ran it successfully in the MHC before selling it to Ireland. I bought it and repatriated it from Ireland and refreshed it to use occasionally before buying the GWR Raptor. I then sold the Caterham to Joy Hoyle who shared it with Roger Moran. Roger removed the K-Series engine and fitted the Hayabusa engine and paddle shift and he and Joy ran the car very successfully in the Roadgoing class of the MHC, winning class B1 in 2015. I purchased the car in mid 2017 to compete in the Midland Championship Class D ‘Modified Production’ (ModProd) Class. I had the car fully refurbished over the winter of 2017-18; the engine and gearbox was stripped, checked and refreshed, the car was repainted and the roll cage re-powder coated plus the replacement carbon seat was fitted. Lovely! All of the roadgoing ‘extras’ were removed in order to run in the ‘Mod Prod’ class and it now weighs in at 435Kg. However, all of the items needed to run it as a road-going car are included in the sale including lights (headlamps/rear lights), wiring and an ‘as new’ Bailey Morris’ Bike engined Kit car reverse gearbox, plus larger fuel tank and spare seats and belts and other assorted spares. I was guilty of a slight indiscretion at Prescott in September 2018, arguing with the recticel at Ettores (oops!) and damaging the nearside front chassis. This required the fitting of a new ‘long’ front by Arch Motors. At the same time and to do a proper job, we have replaced the front wishbones (both sides) and all of the steering joints, tie-bars, nuts and bolts, anti-roll bar bushes, the steering rack, steering column and detachable steering wheel boss plus the front side panels, which have been repainted. So, the car looks absolutely spot on again – totally refreshed and gleaming. It has always been a very competitive car and it could achieve even better results in Mod Prod with a lighter and quicker driver! My best Times in Mod Prod on the Midland hills are: Prescott 43.30 Shelsley Walsh 30.05 Loton Park 52.38 This represents a great buy for an enthusiastic driver - you simply couldn’t build one as good as this for anywhere near the asking price. It is on display at the Race Retro Show Stoneleigh on the Bugatti Owners’ Club Stand. Price: £26,750.00 Cheers Steve Zero 7836 38447 three
