  1. Steve Causey

    Angelsey

Congrats to all the winners, particularly Matthew for overall championship, Rob for Class 1 (and Stef for running him really close!) and especially to Becky for Edward Lewis. Well done all!
  2. Thanks to both Matthew and Simon. Certainly helps me to have the calendar published so early - although it makes the waiting worse......
  3. Rob, Sorry to mess you about but I've had to withdraw from Anglesey - tow vehicle problems. Please let me know what I owe you for the garage and we an figure out how I get it to you. Steve.
  4. Unfortunately, I've had to withdraw. The Bongo has developed severe vibrations at 30 and 60 mph making it very unpleasant to drive and I'm concerned that driving it 600 miles will do more damage to whatever is wrong. So far had two new tyres, new trackrod end and lower arm, all of which have made no difference! Good luck to all who are participating, I'll be watching the Class 1 results intently. Steve
  5. Rob, If there's room I'd like to join. Steve
  6. Rob, I plan to go to Anglesey but have some problems with my tow vehicle. Hoping to get these fixed tomorrow in which case be happy to help. I'm in Billericay, Essex. Assuming I get the van fixed I'll be leaving Friday morning. Steve
  7. Or me. Had a email saying my entry had been accepted but nothing since.
  8. Thanks Matt. Got my entry in and have received the confirmation text so I'll see you there. I was just curious as to who else was going.
  9. So who's entered for the Blyton sprint then?
  10. Chris, Small point but my comp number is 509, not the 504 that you're showing. Thought I should let you know to avoid any confusion. Class 1 is looking very interesting....... Hope the weather's good. Steve
  11. At the risk of being told to mind my own business, you have considered the issue of carbon monoxide with a gas heater haven't you? Just concerned about a gas heater in an enclosed trailer.
  12. Matt - Good luck & thanks for volunteering. Simon - thanks for all your hard work over the last seasons.
  13. I know I'm being thick but how do you get into the headlamp to replace the side light bulb? I've got the large chrome bowl headlamps and I've loosened the screw on the top of the chrome ring but nothing seems to want to come off. What am I missing?
  14. Alan, many congratulations to both you and Chris! Great news! oh and YHM All the best Steve
  15. The other competitors in Class 1 will not be at all concerned to hear that I'll be entering as soon as I get a moment. Steve
  16. During the Llandow sprint on Saturday my car (1.6 K-Series ex Academy) hesitated/misfired as I accelerated out of Glue Pot and then again out of Devil's Elbow. Was ok for the rest of the lap although I had noticed previously in the paddock that the revs would suddenly drop whilst at idle. Only did this a couple of times and otherwise seems ok. Don't believe it was fuel starvation because a) I don't corner that fast and b) I had around a quarter of a tank. Any thoughts on things to check or do I need to take it to a specialist? If so any recommendations? Thanks, Steve Edited by - Steve Causey on 8 May 2012 20:41:03
  17. Chris, Thanks for sorting this. Don't think I can make the test day but will be arriving to camp on the Friday evening. Hopefully will be there before 8.00 pm although that may depend on the dreaded M25. Do I pay my £5 to someone on Saturday? Steve
  18. Guy at work is looking for a small amount of self-adhesive heat protection material, the type that's flexible with an aluminium reflective coating. He needs a small amount to protect some plastic on his motorbike. Any ideas where he might be able to get some from? Steve
  19. Does anyone know the current that the heated windscreen draws? Just fitted new heated screen and have used 8 amp bullet connectors. As usual, doing things in the wrong order, I've now looked at the assembly guide wiring diagram and noted that the windscreen fuse is 10 amps! So I'm assuming I'll have to re-do the connectors using some capable of carrying the higher current. Anyone have any other thoughts/suggestions (other than I should read the manual first 😳) Steve
  20. Really sorry that I'm not able to join you, I'm sure you'll have a great time. Just wanted to congratulate all the Class winners but especially Paul in Class 1 and thank everyone for another very enjoyable year. Looking forward to next year already. Have fun! Steve.
  21. Sadly, due to family commitments, I can't particpate in either the BMRMC sprint or the Club event. ☹️ I'm not happy.......
  22. Great! Mine went in the post this morning.
