  1. Mike, Can't help much I'm afraid. Alistair Gibbins won Class 1 with 88.60, but I don't have results from the other classes. Was a good day as usual but cold, windy, an a little damp, so similar to where you are I guess. All the best, Steve
  2. Simon, Thanks for the update but must admit it was a bit of a shock to see that I've moved to Class 3! Steve (Class 1)
  3. Neil, Piecing together snippets from various posts it seems you have been very busy - bodywork mods, using camber and castor gauges and then secret test seesions at Curborough - you must really want that fiver back from Alan........ Looking forward to seeing the rivalry renewed at Goodwood. Cheers, Steve
  4. Simon, Peter, Many thanks for your help. A donation to NTL will be made. Steve
  5. Thanks Peter. My next numpty question is how do attach the mirrors to the cage? Steve
  6. I've just replaced the windscreen on my car with a Caterham supplied deflector but I'm having trouble finding a good location for the two outer mirrors (also Caterham supplied) on the deflector. It's made more complicated because the car is ex-Academy spec with a full (Roadsport) cage. Recognise that there's not a perfectly flat area for the mirrors but the best I've found so far for the driver's side still has part of the mirror obscured by the cage. Is this inevitable or is there a better location that I've missed. Appreciate any advice or, even better, a picture of the location one of you has used. Thanks, Steve.
  7. Hi Geoff, You should have received entry form and cheque for Castle Combe earlier this week. Please let me know if it didn't show up. All the best, Steve
  8. Oops! Got over excited there! I should probably tell you that it's the Castle Combe day that I'd like to join..... Steve
  9. Geoff, Plesae save me a place!! I think I sent you a blatmail. Let me know if it doesn't arrive. Many thanks, Steve
  10. Mike, Sorry to see you leave Class 1 but glad you're still going to be competing next year. All the best, Steve.
  11. Just wanted to add my congratulations. Steve P.S. very belated congrats for the Class win too. Quite a year!!!!!
  12. Neil, Wanted to add my congratulations on your win, well done!!! Steve
  13. Adrian, David, Thanks for your help, confirmed what I suspected. Steve.
  14. Ok, so now I've got the Yoko A539's on 13" rims on the car and I've looked at the ground clearance under the sump (K-Series engine) and it's approx 57 mm. The car is an ex-Academy car and I haven't touched the suspension since Caterham flat-floored it for me at the start of the season back in 2005. It looks low to me but are others running a similar clearance? Steve.
  15. Thanks all. I'll be going for the Yoko's but appreciate the suggestions and info on the 15". Frustratingly the next event for me is Curborough in August which seems a very long time away. Oh, and apologies for the pun...... Steve.
  16. Sorry, I know there have been many treads on this but after 4 events the bug has bitten and it's time to ditch the Avon CR322's. So what's the advice? In addition to sprints I still want to use the car on the road. From what I've gathered the options seem to be: A) Stay with 13" wheels and go to 185/60R13 Yokohama A539's. I believe these have a slightly smaller rolling radius (aprox 5%). B) Go up to 15" wheels with Stunner Scudos. What size tyres are recommended and where do I get them and the wheels to go with them? Does anyone know what the rolling radius is? Appreciate any advice. Many thanks, Steve.
