    JPE seats

BSA Can you link to pictures please. Any idea of what price you are looking for? Are these surplus or are you going back Leather seats?
  2. Am looking for 2 X Tillett Seat (Must be B6) Would be willing to buy or exchange for 2 X Leather seats from my 2007 S3 car. Seats from new have only done 4,000 miles, never rained on, always cleaned and leather balmed. Garged car. Seats in very good condition. These seats will be up for sale once I have sorted a pair of B6 Tilletts.
  3. Any body in Devon, preferably as close to Exmouth as I can get who would be willing to let me sit in Tillet seats? I am contemplating ditching a perfectly good set of Leather seats from my S3 to replace with Tilletts, but common sense says I should t least try them first! Anybody out in BC land who cn help me please. If so BM me please Steve
  4. Does anybody know who owns this car? here I'd like to contact the owner as I want to find out more about where the screen can be purcahsed.
  5. Keep my Aero (JPE deflector) on all year around. Cant see why not, just wear a Crash Helmet in the colder weather or if going on Motorwatys or a fast Blat. Likely in the summer I'll wear overglasses/sunglasses and a beannie more often. That said helmet does provide more "reassurance" for me when I'm wearing it, particluarly when a truck is heading my way!.
  6. I used 3M 'Velcro' to hold plates on. Is working a treat for me. All other sticky tape couldn't face up to either weathering or washing. Used Lighter fuel to remove residue or Metholated spirit (slightly gentler) Agree, white spirit also good. Also as stated above plate can flex , that's why I found the 3M Velcro worked well. 7. Apologies for hijacking your post. 😳 My question is sort of related. Is there an opinion on fitting a 4 into 1 or as some have a 4 into 2 into 1 Are there advantages / disadvantages? If so what are they related to? Goods luck with your fitting by the way
  8. Yellow, aLong the Exeter Road going towards Exmouth, roughly 3.00pm. Pouring with rain, your roof was up!!
  9. Sorry! Not really a technical issue. Tried to delte post, but cant. Have put it in Chit Chat Edited by - SBD762 on 11 Jan 2013 15:10:26 Edited by - SBD762 on 11 Jan 2013 15:11:50
  10. If you need a couple of Poppers, I will post some to you. Save buying a whole pack, you probably won't ever use again! BM me your address Cheers Steve
  11. Yes there was another posting. However some advice posted previously and I quote "Unbolt the seat from the runner and put the washers in there. The runners should sit flat on the floor pan otherwise they won't slide for adjustment" On mine the adjustable set rail bolts to the floor. You cannot separate the runner. I understand what is being said, however, my point is the whole rail will be at an angle and it is this I am concerned of having the bolt not lying flat within the runner. Of course I have no idea what the angle will be , probably quite small, but never the less am I don't want to risk his if others have tried it and found problems.
  12. I am sorry to bring this up again. My intention is to 'tilt' the seat from the front end, thus provide a different seating angle. I have standard S3 Leather seats, adjustable for reach, so , on runners. I have washers (plastic and metal) kindly donated by a BC contributor. What is general opinion as to putting the spacers between the floor and seat runner, on the front end to tilt the seat frame. I ask because I am wondering what the effect will be on the font end bolt, tilting will create an 'angle' which will not allow the bolt to sit 'square' (as in its current position) And therefore also the same effect on the rear bolts. There is sufficient length in the bolts to put spacers in - no problem there. Has anyone done this before? Any issues or points I should be aware of? Many thanks
  13. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I put my 7 away before Xmas, all washed and polished..... and when I went to get it out again I found this... http://my.lotussevenclub.com/Portals/14/UltraPhotoGallery/1206/185/large/Woody.JPG Happy New Year...... how I am I going to love driving this one!
  14. Has anyone fitted these here Can they be fitted "easily" I.e does the wiring have have to be disconnected from within to engine bay. Having fitted lowered headlamps it was bad enough having to thread the cabling in the tube. Don't fancy doing it all again just for cosmetics, but if another way then I'd make the effort. Any one any knowledge of this please.
  15. Mine has just arrived. Absolutely delighted!! Excellent quality, thanks Richard, well done!
  16. Totally agree Alan & Daisy. Visibility is brilliant. I like the lowered lights look and for me personally the 5.75" lights are great. Even if you are a taller peron I still feel the visibility is a good safety issue in the fact you can see more of the road ahead.
  17. Solid as a rock. No vibration at all. Brackets here here And lights and bulbs here
  18. Mine were Caterham's own. The single bar construction, lowers and takes the lamps forward by about 8 " Attaches to the front wishbone mounting. Apparently ( but you need to check) they are for meticulous chassis only

  20. Halfway through! But it gives you an idea of what it will look like! here

  22. Absolutely, it gives a far better view of the road. Instead of being drawn to the headlamps the on-coming view of the road is much more succinct. Well done! Steve
  23. Just done mine and fitted 5.75" lights. As regards the cables I am assuming your 7" lights are same as the ones I replaced. Threading the sheathed wires into the new brackets is tricky but not impossible. Use blunt end of pencil to 'nead'' the sheath into the tube at same time as pulling the cable through. For me I had to cut off a small angle from the new lowered brackets as on both sides it fouled the chassis member. This took me an age and a lot of angst on the first side!!! Once realised the second side was a doddle! John is right with regard to the yellow bit, remove it first and replace after all pins in position, again an error I made , doing this way makes it again a doddle. If you want to talk it though , Blat mail me and I'll give you my phone number.. Also don't forget you will have to drill a 10mm hole through the wishbone carrier to take the cable neatly from your new brackets into the engine bay. Good luck, it's not impossible just fiddly but looks great when done! Cheers Steve
  24. Id like one please for an S3 BM to you
