  1. Steve, Just had exactly same problem only after finding the bolts in teh misc bag I found threads were poor in roll bar and had to be cleaned out with a tap to stop them siezing up - they are 3/8" UNF which is not a common thread these days!! Did you get an instruction leaflet on fitting the petty bar (i.e. how is it mounted in the passenger footwell) and headrest restraints? Steve
  2. I've recently purchased a '97 1.6 Supersport and have been checking it over to make sure everything is in order. Surprised to find no rear anti roll bar fitted as all the diagrams of dedion rear suspension seem to show a ARB - should there be one fitted or was it an option on this spec car? I have a 9/16" bar (blue bushes) which I was considering fitting. Is there any significant benefit in fitting it (road and occasional track day use) and what difference and I likely to find from the currnet set up? Any pointers would be appreciated. Steve

    Brake Balance

Thanks for the tips - looks like a balance valve is the way to go in the long term. Greg - I know the feel of the brakes on a Caterham are very different to a standard road car but it is the balance between front and rear that is causing me concern, under hard braking at any speed the rears lock up much too early before the fronts seem to be working very hard. Thanks Steve

    Brake Balance

I have recently purchased my first seven - bog standard 1.6 Supersport - and find the rear brakes seem to lock up prematurely under hard braking. Is this normal or do I have a problem and if so any clues? Thanks in anticipation Steve
