Ok... I am not going to give this away... current new price is £454.80 for a Caterham sized. Got my new carbon bling headlights onto the car, all wired up. n/s indicator will work on hazards, but when just on indicator it doesn't function and a "growling" noise from under the pax dashboard side is heard - I assume a relay. As I had to do a new earthing (unsheathed copper wire wrapped around light pod bolt then connected to headlight and indicator earths) not sure if it is a poor earth or is it a knackered relay... which at this timeof night I'm unlikely to be able to find a new one. Questions: Is the relay for indicators and hazards not the same one? If I have a poor earth connection on this side would it work OK on hazards but not as a sole light? Thx Richard, aka... SM25T... thats the obvious (but thank you) answer... I want to avoid that as it adds more wire and would sit outside the conduit. I am a slight perfectionist 😬 and it therefore would not trunk through the loom which is all encased etc. My best thought is to wind wire around the holding bolt, glued in places and link to the earths (essentially what you suggest)... more interested in finding whether there is another way of soldering to the bolt... My bling carbon headlights are almost together (they were an old custom made job and all I started with were the lens holder and cone)... anyway main issue is trying to earth the headlight and indicator... on normal metal lights the earth wires are bolted to the lower front part of the cone... I have tried to solder onto the holding bolt (SS) which it won't adhere... any ideas? BTW all the pieces are together just waiting for the lens and holding ring to be refitted so would rather not dismantle (again ) Richard, aka... Standard Caterham metal headlights are earthed internally. I am fitting some bling 😬 carbon light holders... do I need to earth the lights and if so will the carbon bowls conduct OK?
