    I have a '94 k series... based in Scotland with few competent 7 specialists... if I brought the car south who would you get to do the work? Basically what needs doing (depending on funding) is: Strip front suspension, shot blast, recoat & refit (does anyone fabricate stainless set ups?) Fit new front cycle wings (carbon) Remove (or cut out) corrosion below screen frame on btm lip and refit panel as reqd. Fit new rear arches Repaint car... also, are Caterham cheaper for parts or the likes of Redline... Thanks in advance... Tricks

    My 94 K series has exactly the same problem... I hoover the cr@p out from inside the engine bay but intend to try silicon... after I've repaired the damage...A low pressure hose perforated the skin so it now looks a mess... can you "cut" out the damage and alloy weld back in a plate? Tell me how you get on... I am 450 miles from the likes of Arch so have to find someone local who is competent.

    Anyone know a good paint shop in t'North.... living / driving in Scotland's salt has taken its toll and I want to repaint this year.... any advice? Also screen frame / footwell alloy needs a good clean after battery acid overspill damage.... whats the best polish for the job... yes I'm a one yearer so still learning!

    Look on www.pistonheads.com.... they have had a couple in the £16 + mark. happy hunting L6 KAR
