  12. Does anyone know what were the lightest wheels CC have ever supplied on a 7?
  13. No idea what it all means, but it reported this on screen when I posted in Spotted... "Commit at Tue, 15 Sep 2015 09:05:39 +0100 failed. Solr will commit at the next interval."
  14. I don't have a photo to hand, but look at the front of the engine. There is a gap in the belt cover with a lump of metal sticking out with two bolt holes in it. Take the cover off and you'll find the lump of metal is bolted to the front of the engine. Remove the bolts and the lump of metal and discard. Remeber to patch the hole in the cover to stop carp ingress.
  15. Paul, I had a second pair of (more mechanically talented) eyes check with me. straight edge against the ear -= OK, striaght edge against the tube - ok, straight edge agaist the tube end plate - slither of daylight.
  16. One thing I found when replacing an ear is it didn't lie flat against the end of the tube. the tube end plate was the issue, rather than the ear. I feared that torqueing up the bolts would stress the ear by applying a bending force (?technical term?). i ground down a washer to act as a shim so the ear didn't rock when mated to the tube end plate
