  1. Edited to say, now have Cartridge, but would like some good, compact B&O Speakers Recently found my old B&O Turntable and thought I'd play some vinyl. Then realised I'd removed the cartridge and can't find it ☹️. Knowing the POBC, just wondered if anyone had a good MMC4 or MMC5 cartridge? Please send me a PM if you can assist - thanks Edited by - Mike C. on 21 Feb 2012 09:53:44
  2. I had a similar 1.8'S' briefly last year - IMO one of the nicest Elises ever.
  3. 49 KP is, what I would call a proper, tasteful, cherished plate - and would look good on any vehicle. However, its value would depend on its specific relevence to someone. I'm struggling to think of a wider appeal.
  4. Pics now available - just Blatmail me with your email address and I'll send them over. It's very nice.
  5. Sold - Sold - Sold Lotus Elise 1.8 (Toyota) 'S' Touring - 2008 MY (reg 12/07) - Latest '08> Interior and Upgrades - Storm Titanium/Black leather - Satin Black Wheels Very High Spec: * Touring Pack - Probax Seats with Harness Slots - Fitted Mats - Extra Noise Insulation - Extra Leather - Driving Lights - Ipod Connection - Push Button Start * Air Conditioning (essential) * Hard Top (really useful) * Lotus/Schroth Harnesses + Standard Inertia Reels * Blaupunkt Toronto Radio/CD with Bluetooth * Lotus TDR Induction * Sports Exhaust (silencer, 4-2-1 manifold and sports cat) * Alcantara Steering Wheel (leather one also supplied) * 21,270 mls * Full Lotus Service History - Just Fully Serviced at Lovetts Lotus * Brand New Lotus Yokohama AD07 tyres all round * All new brakes - discs/pads/ss hoses * Full Lotus Sports Geometry Check and Set Up * New MOT, and Taxed to Feb '12 * Stratstone Warranty (Transferable) to April 2012 * Immaculate throughout and looks stunning I bought this Elise earlier this year from Stratstone Lotus. It is a superb example and, IMO, the best Elise variant here The induction and sports exhaust system boost the superb mid-range performance (it's quick!) and sounds lovely (but not noisy in the cabin). The options of hard top/soft top/open top, means it can be used all year round, and it's actually a very comfortable long range tourer. Don't really want to sell it, but it's a 5th car and not getting used as originally intended (Bought a Ginetta G40). Only £17,995 (it cost me a lot more) Sorry Now Sold Edited by - Mike C. on 9 Sep 2011 09:33:00
  6. Yes, spent some weeks trying to work out what is the best contemporary supermini with the brio and fizz of a 205 GTi - and it does seem that the 197/200 Cups are the closest - bit more grown up and usable, but lots of fun. Plenty for sale but trying to find the right spec/colour/value.
  7. Did consider that. Apparently there's a 'facelift' model just announced - looking for info.
  8. Thanks for that - nice car. Probably should have elaborated though. Been looking for a cheap fun replacement for my fabulous little 205 GTi, which I sold last month. Seems RenaultSport Clios are the closest contemporary option. It's only for fun, but needs to have' year round' practicality. Looked at a 182 Trophy, and they are terrific, but a 197 would suit my needs better. Criteria: - Ideally post-'08 MY (it had various improvements) - Ideally standard car with Cup Chassis (but some flexibility) - Flat colour - really like the Racing Blue, but white also looks cool - Must have aircon or climate and recarros preferred - Nice, original, excellent, condition with FSH and lowish miles - Budget c. £8k(ish) - Might stretch to a 200 at £10k(ish)
  9. Looking for nice example, ideally in the Racing Blue, with all the desirables and sensible price. Would quite like LHD Edited by - Mike C. on 17 Sep 2011 13:45:15
  10. That does look very impressive, and hard to fault from the pics. Many people try to save costs by replicating a 'Lightweight'. It's actually more costly to replicate a 'Touring'. If I was being pedantic I'd say the engine lid release should be black and those look like later wheels with not quite the correct anodised finish. P6000s are the only 'N' rated tyres in the correct profiles, but there are better tyres. One of the best recreations I've seen . here
  11. This is a brilliant fun collectable and I adore it, but have a specific requirement for a RenaultSport Clio, so: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2875245.htm It was 'sold' 20 mins after placing the ad, but that fell through, so now back up for for sale, but you'd need to be quick as there aren't many (any) like this at this price.
  12. That would have been over £46k new A lot of car compared with any Elise you could get for that money.
  13. I bought a 205 GTi last year -what a little gem 😬. Light, nippy, great engine and gearbox, delightfully reponsive chassis and sharp steering, still plenty quick enough for lots of fun, and practical enough as an everyday tintop. I was advised to get a 1.6 or a 1.9 (they each have their merits), non-abs, non-power steering, in as good/original/rust free condition as possible. Some say it's better without the sunroof, but most have it, and it's actually very good and easy to use. I made the mistake of buying one that was almost too nice (but nearer £3k), so I'm now a bit fussy about using it - hasn't been out this winter. But once spring arrives..... Highly recommended - even Clarkson thinks so Mad Manx
  14. Wanted - a good solid working ride-on mower with c.15hp+. UPDATE - NOW GOT ONE Already have a John Deere (and some bigger stuff), but it's too nice for some of the rough paddock work, so looking for something with a tough cutter deck (don't really need a collector) that will do the job. Budget up to c.£500. thanks Edited by - Mike C. on 4 Feb 2011 20:59:42
  15. Sold to Griff, who only lives down the road, but is currently in Canada. The wonders of Blatchat 😬
  16. OK - my email is: mvc@fly7.co.uk if anyone needs it Edited by - Mike C. on 10 Nov 2010 19:28:04

  19. We have one of these fantastic Yamaha DTX drum kits for sale in excellent condition (little used as my son also plays accoustic drums). Like this here Also includes a Stagg amplifier to play really loud, and a set of drum sticks. However, you can connect a set of headphones to keep the neighbours happy. Uniquely autographed by my neighbour - Nick Mason (Pink Floyd Drummer). Perfect Christmas present. £250, but you'll need to pick up Mad Manx Edited by - Mike C. on 10 Oct 2010 13:41:06 Edited by - Mike C. on 10 Oct 2010 20:32:18
  20. I like Nigel Mansell. He worked hard for his success and, whenever he raced, he always gave 110% -and many times it was edge of the seat viewing. These days, he and his sons are still actively involved in motor sport, and specifically support 'grass roots' karting. They also do a lot of charity work, especially for 'UK Youth'. Mad Manx
  21. Think I'll post this on Chit Chat - my fault, but I think I've hi-jacked my own thread Only posted the helicopter on here for a bit of fun. It is fantastic - the 'Mini Cooper' of helicopters - superb build and design, with great handling. Makes a Robinson look like a Reliant Robin However, it will probably sell abroad - power reserves and tough durability makes them very popular in hot/high climates. Mad Manx
