  3. can i put dibs in (behind chris) on the garmin please?
  4. have you got a photo? more out of being nosey rather than interest in purchasing, having recently bought a road bike, i can't really justify more money on another bike...but you never know??
  5. SEE EDIT, REDUCED HALF DOOR TO £60.
  6. both aknowledged and will hopefully get photos taken and sent today.
  7. theY came with my car, it had been sawn off. if yours also has been cut off then you may want to have this for touring (you'd need to manufacture the parts to reattach it as many have done, sure someone will send a link to the fix in tech chat, or get someone to do it for you) either for a spare wheel or for additional luggage capacity. £20 oxfordshire 07754513139 mattjamesw@hotmail.com Edited by - mattjamesw on 28 Nov 2009 21:42:54
  8. the doors are off of my old 7, they weren't damaged when the car was written off. (now being rebuilt back to it's former glory by someone else) the doors are in good rather than "as new" condition, the drivers door has a small cut-out where bolt from full cage stuck out of car. the passenger door fits fine but is not totally straight. the half door came with the car is a dull door that has been cut down. doors come with new Caterham mirrors. £150 - BEING HELD FOR "1ST DIBS" half door £70 -NOW REDUCED TO £60 call 07764613139 or email mattjamesw@hotmail.com cheers Edited by - mattjamesw on 28 Nov 2009 21:31:18
  9. and a few old TVR's and a cobra all around Stow on the wold and Toddington (all coming from Prescott Hill Climb) i think. on the drive from the wrong toddington near High wycomb to the right Toddington near Stow on the Wold also saw 3 caterhams, sorry can't recall colours now. but i waved from my Kawasaki Green seven.
  10. had mine reset from tow-out (neutral attitude towards mild understeer on fast sweepers) to slight tow-in (makes for a more responsive/direct feel to steering and encourages the rear to come into play more often) i'm presently riding on michelin MXT's with Live Axle.
  11. i was in the green and black seven heading out of oxford, by peartree roundabout.
  12. just the locking centre with a key. or the neck and cap from race car? otherwise having to fork out for a new one at £124 cheers matt w editied to add that my fuel filler is the old type so not the exactly same size as one on the caterham parts site, it had "caterham" and "7" emblazened on it. 13. i let him down, and the sva pad i was sending him turned out to be the wrong type, he posted on wanted on 25th April. he's after a 260 diametre sva pad? hopefully the pobc will compensate for my shortcomings? ☹️ cheers guys and gals.
  14. if i'd realised my 7 was supposed to have heather... i think heater is the intended item, but i'm not one to judge.
  15. you can have mine for a donation to NTL. do you want to collect it from west oxfordshire or get it posted?
  16. i have the 1606L which as stated is illuminated but only very briefly, and i also have the sigma additional light that i used before i purchased the backlit sigma, it's battery powered andn does last a whole lot longer than the backlit sigma's battery does when using the illumination function but its another add on to dash or rollcage (in my case) and so am exploring the possibility of either one of the those micro LED torches pointed in right direction or simply wiring up a superbright LED to a battery and a switch and burying that in the cage padding at the right angle? i hadn't realised the illumination function lasted such short blasts or that it swallowed so much charge in the process prior to purchase.
  17. my car also has a tall full cage, softbits made me a bespoke hood (full weather protection) at a cost of £450 hope that helps.
  18. i was passing opposite direction heading towards oxford, tried to flash but i was in works VW Touran so instead i put the wipers on...
  19. Yeah, it's only been 5 years of seven ownership, and finally spotted, at least i hope it was me?? kawasaki Green, W reg, black nose/wings/doors and hood. thankyou, thankyou.
  20. don't know if it's possible to reset the time it should stay on for but the guide highlights (excuse the pun) that illumination uses up lots of battery and recommends turning function off to extend battery life. having cut wires etc to fit it to my seven then i am not going to be in position to return sadly, hope they'll take back the computer bit without the mounting?
  21. i have previously used a Sigma BC 1200, worked great until water ingress got the better of connections, so splashed out on new Sigma BC 1606L, which is supposed to be backlit, but following instructions (i hasten to add this was a last resort..!) doesn't work, no problems with battery as it's brand new. anyone else using one and got it lighting up? the guide suggests holding both left hand side buttons, which should activate it? but no joy?
  22. No but i could fit mine to my live axle car with tall cage and send a photo of it? Edited by - mattjamesw on 23 Jan 2009 02:45:21
