  1. thanks guys, will take it all under advisement and not take on the track until i get it checked properly. matt w
  2. just got my 7 back from PIT STOP in Brize, mechanic pointed out what he thought may be a serious problem... that upon braking you could see significant flex upon fron trunion by the fact that the cycle wings were visibly moving 1/2 centimetre upwards. so do yours do that? he warned me that old morris minors used to loose wheels because of this kind of problem; he thought front trunions came off of old triumph's. he suggested that i do not do a track day until i get it checked out. all thoughts appreciated.
  3. all advice much appreciated, filled it up with dot4 and that second set of eyes and discovered it was leaking from left front, don't know what "union connection" is but if it's the connection between copper pipe and body/through body to flexi pipe then that's what it is. shame i'm not more mechanically minded otherwise i'd attempt dleeding the system and refilling myself, as i'm not it'll be heading it's way to the garage. cheers again.
  4. been using the seven lots the last few weeks, trailered it back to oxford yesterday and brakes worked fine (though pretty screechy) but at lunch today the pedal had virtually complete travel and then very minimal effective retardation. the resevoir is now empty but i cannot see any new puddles under the car, no visible leakage near the wheels? friends have suggested the seals may have gone or that in transit i somehow damaged a brake hose? any thoughts or offers to look at it with me would be most appreciated {west oxfordshire/witney} cheers folks matt w
