  1. Having seen Chris' post, it reminded me that I am also after a tonneau. I need an S3 tonneau with Tillet pockets and with cut-out sections at the front to fit around a Roadsport cage. Please get in touch if you have anything suitable. Thanks, Mark
  2. Hi. Good choice. I have owned one of these for 2 years and absolutely love it (it is a 2008/08 997 C2S in Atlas Grey with FPSH done 35K miles). I am not ready to part with it yet, but with our first baby due in March then I dont think it will be around for much longer after that. If you are in no rush then ours would be perfect, it is immaculate inside and out. My main reason for posting a reply is because I am the 2nd owner and the 1st owner was.......a vicar (honestly!)
  3. I think you are correct - it should be easier for you only needing a few. I actually thought I found you some earlier on Pistonheads but realised they were tyres only but the photos were of the tyres on the anthracite wheels. Just as well I double checked before posting you the link
  4. Roger - I was just logging on to place a Wanted ad for 4 anthracite wheels in this size but don't think I will bother following your comment. Let me know if someone offers you 5 or 6 and I will happily take 4 from you Otherwise, looks like I will just have to buy new from CC. Have a BTTT on me
  5. I am dropping the price of this to £25. Now that the strut has been freshly powder coated by Arch, I have also added some photos here Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks, Mark
  6. Tre7or - this is now available, if the dimensions are ok and you would like it then please Blatmail me. Thanks Mark
  7. Hi Tre7or The distance between the attachment holes is 97.5cm but it has a telescopic end and so can shrink by 4cm and extend by a further 1-2cm. The total overall length of the strut is 102.5cm. I have already had an expression of interest in the strut via blatmail but will let you know if it doesn't work as I am not sure it will fit their car. Mark
  8. Sorry Steve. This is for an S3 car and is the single attachment type. Mark
  9. I am selling my petty strut which attaches at one end to the side skin boss by passengers knee and attaches to the single hole in the FIA bar. Immaculate unused condition (because it has been powder coated this week by Arch along with some other bits I took to them) and comes with all fixings. £30 not including postage but can be collected from Cambridge area or Marlow/Bucks area. 10. Thank you so much for all your help . It was the "push in" concept that I hadnt appreciated. Works perfectly and in hindsight looks quite an easy setup
  11. Sorry Les, I closed my wanted thread before I realised you had posted on it. I have now purchased Gordon's ones so am sorted. I am sure you will have no problem selling your mates parts. Mark
  12. I have just bought a new tow car and was chuffed that it came with a detachable swan neck Witter tow bar as these are quite pricey. It was attached when I collected the car but now I have taken it off I can't work out how to refit it. Does anyone know the combination of wiggling, turning of rotatable disc which gets it into place? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark
  13. Wheels, nitrons and cage now sold - thanks guys. Just the carbon wings and wing stays left to be sold. I will post these on the for sale section over the weekend. Mark
  14. Hi All, Due to a new arrival for the 2013 season (no its not a Busa) I am selling the "go faster" bits from our Caterham. As they represent excellent upgrades for Sprinters I thought I would put them here first before posting on the general For Sale section and Pistonheads. Please let me know (Blatmail or 07900 266 777) if you would like any of the following, I can arrange delivery by postage/courier (at buyers cost) or collection in Newmarket/Cambridge or Marlow/Bucks/Berks area or even at the Awards evening: Nitrons Set of 4 with optimised valving. Widetrack fronts and DeDion Rears. Excellent condition. Personally speaking this was our best upgrade - well recommended. These are £1200 new but I am asking for just £750. SLR Cage Brand new from Caged for 2010 season. Has the rear mirror mount and the side mirror attachment plates. It is the standard SLR cage with the top hoop design apart from the fact that I had some spacers fitted at the rear to give extra headroom - as you can see here it looks like the standard one. New on Caterham website they are £950 and in view of the fact that it is unmarked and so recently acquired I am asking £700. CSR Carbon Front Wings and Lowered Wing Stays These were bought from MOG and are 9inches wide so perfect for 215 wide tyres as can be seen when newly fitted here. They are in excellent condition apart from a small crack on the edge of both wings half way along. The wing stays are bonded with Sikoflex to the wings so I am selling them together which means they will just bolt on and are ready to go. £250 for the pair including wing stays. Wide Wheels 4 x 2 piece 7.5x13 inch wheels from Image which can be seen when newly fitted here These are minilite style in silver/matt black and I also paid extra to have them ceramic coated so they are in excellent condition. 1 has a small dent in the outer rim and 1 has a scrape on the rim from the trailer. Wheels currently have supersoft Kumho Ecstas on them which have done only 5 events so plenty of life left (around 4-5mm tread). £450. Edited by - Mark Gibson on 11 Oct 2012 21:02:41
  15. Jeremy - I have called the restaurant and added you to our reservation. Our table is now for 18 people and I have updated the full list above. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sat morning
  16. Was quite looking forward to seeing the Duratec class 3 beast in action and would certainly have been praying for rain
  17. After getting soaked through to the skin in June, I would be keen to share a garage. Paul - access to circuit is 24 hours on Friday but Malcolm won't be given key to garage until he signs on on Saturday morning. Mark
  18. Oyster Catcher have today confirmed that they are closed on Sat 6 October so I have now booked Sullivans here which is on the High Street of Rhosneigr for 7.30pm for the following 18 people: Gibsons x 2 Elwells x 2 Stuart Miller Hickeys x 2 (Malcolm - just let me know if Jessica 🥰 can't make it) Jeff Smith Bostons x 2 Chris Gibbs Rob Grigsby Paul Forster Mike Sankey Steff Jacobs x 2 Jeremy Davies If anyone else would like to join us (or if I have missed anyone in the list above) then please let me know. Thanks, Mark Edited by - Mark Gibson on 3 Oct 2012 10:35:09
  19. Hi All. Following Jeff's post on my restaurant thread, I called the circuit and they have confirmed that there is 24 hour access to the circuit on Friday 5th October and we can leave cars/trailers there overnight. I was told to make sure we had our ticket/paddock pass to show the security man upon arrival. As expected, they also informed me that they are not responsible for any loss/damage to vehicles left overnight. Mark
  20. Sorry all - just had a call from the restaurant and it may not be available on that evening for our group booking but I will know for sure on Tuesday when the manager is back in. Still let me know if you would like to join us and I will coordinate a booking somewhere else if this is not free. Mark
  21. Thanks Stuart - we will be both coming. If I didn't do Anglesey then I wouldn't have competed in 7 events which would have been a shame given how many events I have competed in every year since 2007. I also really like the circuit.
  22. Hi All, When I was at Anglesey in June (and before you ask, it did rain then as well ) - we went to a nice restaurant which has been newly built by the main road which leads into Rhosneigr. It is called the Oyster Catcher and can be seen here The food and beers were very good so I am happy to coordinate a group booking if there is interest so please let me know if you would like me to add your name to our dinner booking for Saturday 6 October at 7.30pm. Thanks, Mark Edited by - Mark Gibson on 21 Sep 2012 10:59:01 Edited by - Mark Gibson on 21 Sep 2012 10:59:24
  23. Hi Chris. I would give the circuit a call because they may have a test day the day before. If you get any useful info from them please post on here as others will certainly be interested. Mark
  24. Morning Chris. You can check live timing on the resultsman website. Just follow the link at the bottom of their home page which says meeting in progress. I am using my phone to access so can't paste the link - sorry. Have a great day all and see you at Curbs.
  25. Thanks for posting the spin Matthew - just as well the Graduates don't have a Yellow Trowel. And probably more crucially, just as well my Thruxton antics don't mean I will have the trowel at Curborough 😳 is the footage from the rear facing camera - I was just relieved that I didn't come to rest in the middle of the track as I was fearing I would end up getting hit. The weekend was fairly mixed but on the whole very positive. I was happy with my best qualifying position of 8th (being ahead of 7 cars for the first time) but as always I dropped places in the opening laps by being "out-raced" by more experienced racers. I have no idea why I turned into Goodwood so early to cause the "off" but it effectively ruined my chance to catch up with the lead group so the fact we ran out of fuel didn't really make any difference to the outcome. I knew the second race was going to be my last of 2012 so was determined to make it a good one. I managed to hang onto the lead group but we soon separated out into a group of 4 (James R, James C and Trevor) and fought so hard that inevitably our group lost ground to the leaders. I did pass some or all of them a few times through the race (including all 3 in one move thanks to a good tow) but never managed to stay in front mainly because the front car of the group loses the tow. I learnt an awful lot about slipstreaming and pack racing and you certainly don't want to be the lead car of the group on the last lap. I had planned to slip past the 3 of them into the final corner but I only managed to outbrake Trevor into the final chicane to finish 11th. My 3 race weekends have been brilliant fun and I think I have made forward progress at each weekend (despite a few hiccups). I am also pleased to have finished 6 races without putting a scratch on the car and also to no longer be considered a novice driver. The Grads are a friendly bunch with plenty of banter (especially after running out of fuel on Saturday 😬) and I hope to do some more races with them in 2013. I would like to sincerely thank Matthew for allowing me to have this opportunity to scratch my racing itch by trusting me with his car and more importantly for the massive support he has provided by being there at every event.
