  1. Hi Graham, I will be camping at Curbs all weekend from Friday night so would be happy to buddy up with the newbie. Mark

    Harewood

Hi Martin. I am also quite surprised at the lack of posts following Harewood. I may have got this wrong but I think the class winners from yesterday were: Class 1 - Andrew Willoughby Class 2 - Rob Spencer Class 3 - Richard Price Class 4 - Mike Sankey Class 5 - Simon Rogers I am certain of Classes 1, 3 and 5 but may have made a mistake on 2 and 4 but sure I will be corrected if wrong. It was a great day and it stayed dry and plenty of personal bests were beaten which is always nice to see. Not sure if any records were broken, but again I am sure someone else can comment on that. I hope that it is true that you and Julie will be back for Curbs in a few weeks - if so, see you then Mark
  3. The clan Gibsons (well TP and I) will be camping from 8pm on Friday. I seem to recall that the shower block (with 2 cubicles) next to the toilet block was open last year so the facilities aren't too bad at all. Looking forward to seeing those of you competing at the weekend
  4. Hello We have reluctantly decided to sell my wife's Porsche Boxster to a main dealer who have offered us £29,500 as the trade price and have said that in view of the condition and spec, they will put it on the forecourt for £34,000. We approached the dealer because we aren't keen on a private sale, but I would obviously be more than happy to sell to a fellow blatchatter so if you would like to have it for the trade price then let me know. The spec of the car is: 2008 (08 Plate) Porsche Boxster 3.4 S - Sport Edition 21,000 miles, Arctic Silver, Full Black Leather Interior, 19 inch carrera cup alloys, manual, PASM, heated seats. full Porsche Service History. 1 owner. Car is immaculate, it has been garaged from new and has been really been cared for - in fact it even has the original set of tyres on it but I will buy some new rears if a blatchatter is interested as these are down to 3mm (fronts are still 5mm after 21K miles). Please blatmail me if you are interested, have any questions or want to see some photos. Mark
  5. I am selling a complete axle assembly from a Mark 2 Ford Escort. The kit comprises the axle casing, RS2000 half-shafts (which are the best ones for this axle), end plates and drums and also a full 3.89 differential. Structurally, this is in excellent condition but would just need cleaning, painting and taking to Arch for some mounting points to be attached prior to slotting in. I have received advice separately on what each component is valued at so think that £150 would be a reasonable price for the whole kit. Given the weight and size I won't be able to post it but it can be collected from Cambridge/Newmarket area or I could bring it to Bucks area if more convenient.
  6. I also like Neil Fraser's car listed as an R300 and Graham Howard's car listed as an R500 😳 Surely one for the tribunal at the end of season awards 😬
  7. Hi Ian Really sorry to hear about your off. The video footage was frightening just to watch and I can't imagine what it must have been like from the driver's seat. Suz and I are both pleased that you are okay and hope to see you back at an event very soon. Needless to say, we have had a serious conversation today about fitting a full cage. Mark

    MIRA reslts?

Not quite sure why the heat is on my regarding stickers ☹️ Anyone that saw me changing an 89 into a 33 at Curborough will know that I am way too much of a tight 🙆🏻 to waste valuable competition numbers on a practical joke. Of course, that is assuming that the perpetrator used competition numbers
  9. What a fantastic day with amazing weather - face like a beetroot now Well done to Suz for setting a new ladies record score of 95.77% which was sensational Well done to all the other winners and record breakers . Richard's expression was priceless when Tom broke the class 3 record in T1 😔 and Richard did well to compose himself to set his own class 3 record in T2 😶‍🌫️ As David put it last week, that is the end of our spring season. Have good fun at the next set of events and we'll look forward to seeing some of you at Harewood
  10. So this is what a certain Class 3 competitor gets up to when he is not competing here At least he was wearing a Caterham Motorsport Beanie
  11. Hi Rob, Yes we did get a 3rd practice run before lunch (that's a first for me in 3 years of competing). As I understand it, only Timed 1 and Timed 2 runs will count for the championship. Mark
  12. Graham Please count me in for class 3 That is, assuming I can re-fit my rear wing tonight after it was detached by a rabbit suicide on the way home from Llys y Fran on Sunday night 😳

Many congratulations to Matthew on your first class 3 win Looks like it will be very exciting at the sharp end of Class 3 this year
  14. That's a relief, I thought we had another quick Class 2 exile moving into Class 3
  15. All spaces are now filled Feel free to still register interest just in case we have any last minute cancellations.
  16. Hi All, I have booked Curborough for a sneaky practice test day on Wednesday 28 April (my excuse is that I haven't driven the car since returning home from Anglesey in October ) The day is restricted to 10 cars and I have 1 place available for £52.50 if anyone is interested - I thought I would post on here to offer it first to fellow sprinters If you are interested or would like further info just reply here first or blatmail me. Mark
  17. These are still available and happy to accept an offer. Mark
  18. My garage clear out continues. I am selling a complete axle assembly from a Mark 2 Ford Escort. The kit comprises the axle casing, RS2000 half-shafts (which are the best ones for this axle), end plates and drums and also a full 3.89 differential. I bought this last summer as a perfect upgrade for my Live Ital Axle car as I was frustrated at the regularity of replacing half-shafts. However, I have now sold the car and bought a car with a de dion tube. Feel free to blatmail with any questions/measurements etc or if you would like to see some pics (which I don't yet have but I could take some this evening).
  19. Superclutch (Organic) and matching lightweight flywheel to fit a 1.6 or 1.8 K series. See photos here This is ideal for competition use or track days and was recently removed from my Superlight as the majority of my mileage is on the road. Both flywheel and clutch are in excellent condition. The flywheel weighs approximately the same as a lightweight R500 flywheel (approx 3.2kg) and the Superclutch weighs 2.7kg (which is over 1kg lighter than an R500 clutch). Note: This flywheel cannot be used with either the standard K Series or R500 AP clutch. In view of the fact that a lightweight flywheel alone is £300 from Caterham, I am looking for £195 for both the clutch and flywheel (carriage at cost, or can be collected from Cambs or Bucks area).
  20. Superclutch (Organic) and matching lightweight flywheel to fit a 1.6 or 1.8 K series. See photos here This is ideal for competition use or track days and was recently removed from my Superlight as the majority of my mileage is on the road. £195 plus carriage at cost (or can be collected from Cambs or Bucks area)
  21. MSA site said my application couldn't be completed online - must be because they know my real age 😳
  22. As I am switching to wider front wheels, my carbon fibre front cycle wings are now for sale. These are the standard carbon fibre front wings as fitted to my 2000 Superlight (i.e. suitable for 13 inch wheels up to 195 in profile) and can be seen here here I have just given them a good polish and they are completely immaculate apart from a very small crack/split alongside one of the bolt-holes of the near side one which can only be seen close up. £150 + carriage (or collection from Cambs or Bucks area) Mark
