  1. Martin, was it by the canal on Blomfield Road? (I think) Always felt sorry for that car! Just round the corner from me...
  2. New Cat

1st dibs on the windscreen please. I've sent you some questions. Thanks, Jon
  3. I must confess to not being a full time resident of Poole and the coucil know this (through their fabulously generous 10% discount on council tax) and have told me I stand zero chance of getting a council rental. I really want to buy as I've been through the nightmare of having to move things at short notice too many times before. I may be in a position financially to buy a whole block of garages and sell/rent the spares - please let me know if you have any experience of doing this. Thanks
  4. Looking to buy or possibly rent a garage in Poole, Dorset. May also consider a car port. Please let me know what you have to offer or any tips you have on locating a buying garages. Thanks
  5. FYI car is garaged in West London (Battersea)

  7. Yes, sorry, I meant 5.75" ones and they were from SVC. Forgot to ask for an L7C discount and they were over £100 (maybe £110?)
  8. Got my ZF by advertising in the wanted section and offering to swap my open diff + cash. This appeals to the Roadsport A guys who wish to switch classes and need an open diff. Indeed, mine is an ex Roadsport A one and so far I'm very happy with it - no noiser (yet ) than the open one. Sent it to Road and Race first though for revised ramps and a once over. 1994 1.7 Supersprint De-dion X-Flow. Yellow with black cycle wings
  9. I changed mine to 5.25" with the xenon upgrade - a great improvement (they were sealed beams before!!!)
  10. Thanks EFA and I thought the chassis mods related to the switch from a k-series to an x-flow... Pretty sure it hadn't been built prior to this mod.
  11. Gavin, my car has a slightly strange history (an ex caterham caterham), is registered as a 1994 k-series race chassis, I was told it went to arch for some modifications (having been built quite some time after it was registered and in fact built as an x-flow) and has a De-dion tube marked 96.5 spec. Will this tube fit on a 1994 car without major modifications?! Curious! Thanks
  12. Had a tintop trip to Halfrauds, Bath Road yesterday and spotted this beauty parked up just on the left as you come in. A brave man, were the wheels still on it when you returned??!! 😬
  13. Lack of time means I have to delegate sorting the wheel bearings on my 1994 De-dion X-flow. I need to be able to tell my mechanic which wheel bearings they are if they need replacement. Lots of searching has brought a variety of confused results - Are the front bearings Mk4 Triumph Spitfire? - know any part numbers? Where are the rear bearings from? Sierra? Which one? etc... Thanks ! Hopefully I'll be ready for Le Mans! 1994 1.7 Supersprint De-dion X-Flow. Yellow with black cycle wings
  14. Thanks guys, I'm confident all is well now, I've got an image on the playback setting. Just didn't know beforehand that I needed to be on the playback setting 😳 1994 1.7 Supersprint De-dion X-Flow. Yellow with black cycle wings
  15. Hi Trevor, its Jon from team Jaguar yesterday 😬 I just cannot get the bullet cam to work with the camera at all on record mode (using a maplin supplied Panasonic 3.5" jack to phono cable and BNC/phono convertor). It produces an intermittant iamge with a lot of interference on the playback mode but nothing at all in regualr tape record mode. I could do with checking the camera menu settings with someone with this camera, its a official Dubai import - I don't think this will make any difference...?
  16. Having trouble connecting an RF Concepts supplied bullet cam to my Panasonic GS200 (Av in equiped) anyone out there with this specific camera done it? The manual for av-in connections seems quite useless. Please email if you have sucessfully connected this combo. Thanks
  17. Thanks guys, Motorsport Events have assured me over the phone that it will be fine. Should be able to get my hands on a meter soon anyway, for future reference. If and when I'm feeling flush I may get a Raceco anyway.... while I like the noise, its loud on long journeys even with earplugs! FYI: The car has done about 14k miles, but I'd guess only about 6 or 7k on this engine.
  18. I have a low mileage, smooth running 1.7 X-flow car with Caterham 'Competition' side exit exhaust. It needs to be <= 103db at 3/4 max revs at 0.5 metres. Is this likely ? Thanks
  19. Gee, whereabouts in west london are you? I'm in Maida Vale
  20. HUGE (by London standards) FOUR DOUBLE BEDROOM, TWO BATHROOM FREEHOLD TOWN HOUSE (END UNIT) which is located within a popular residential area, close to the amenities at Hatch End Broadway (near Stanmore). The house has a large rear garden, small front garden, parking for one car at the front and double garages. GCH. For those that do not know it, Hatch End is a very pleasant leafy area in NW London with great local shops and restaurants - a fantastic family location. For those who desire space this is hard to beat (my personal guess is that its around 2500 sq feet internally!) Please contact the agent Pulver Carr (as in the attachment) if interested. It is liveable but would benefit from some modernisation. £375,000 http://www.pulvercarr.co.uk/property_particulars/pc003226.htm
  21. Road & Race replaced my zf lsd driveshaft seals when checking over and fitting different preload ramps, it was not expensive (added about £10 to the bill I think)
