    squeaky pads

Haven't checked the pads but at only 12,000 easy miles would they be gone already? will try the copper grease, and the chamfering seems a good idea too. any other ideas?

    squeaky pads

My front pads have just started to squeal when applied and then only usually when going slow, like in traffic. Do I just need to copper seize between pads and calliper? Have been told they might need replacing, have got some new pads but they're the race pads, is this a problem? I got them from caterham but it does say on the box not for road use. any help and advice greatly accepted. Thanks
  5. I realise this is for spotting caterhams but was behind a black/dark grey 10 plate A4 with a lotus 7 club badge in the back window, stuck in traffic on the Turners Hill road, I was white van behind you.
  6. not an expert by a long way but could it be 'sludge' in the water causing partial blockage in pump/pipes when running and when turned off its sinking away from said parts allowing to flow again til its picked up again?(did that make sense??? *confused*" i know its a different beast but SWMBO fiesta had similar prob and i found piece of plastic by accident floating round system causing occasional blockage/over heat

  10. Hi Steve, do the nut up resonably tight with pliers then add a 'dob' of nail varnish to thread and nut. Used to use red accard in the aero space business to do the same job, can be picked off if ever there was a problem but keeps nut from vibrating off

o/t, do they still have the sunday morning car meet at the cafe? I always seem to miss it
  12. just fitted high level light today, got it from halfords £15'ish and took about an hour to fit, run the cable behind the carpet in the boot and wire it in to the r/n/s light cluster. Worked out which was the brake light wire, shaved back the insulation on it and made a mechanical joint covered with some insulation tape, wired the earth to the exsisting earth point and job done
