Quite. My point precisely. So that's all good, then...

    Overrun

Quoting Steve Wright: They do that if the cooling fan is running at the time. Mine was the same ("was" because I have sold it and traded up to something else). Startled me at first but then I calmed down as it seemed a consistent feature. What happens when you switch off and the fan is not running?
  3. Quoting CJ247: You can use Evo-Stik (or another contact adhesive) but I used self adhesive Velcro tape. That way I can easily remove the carpet to dry in the event of a soaking. I most definitely wouldn't use Velcro. I did this and found, when I wanted to remove the carpet, that heat from the engine and/or from the car standing in the sun had melted the adhesive into a near-fluid nasty sticky mess. Bags of white spirit cleaned it up, but it was not a pleasant job.
  4. Mine are M5s, too, and covered with these here

  7. You are trying to compare the incomparable. Give yourself time to experience the helpfulness of CC (and Club members for that matter) and then see how you feel. That's it from me; over and out.
  8. CC's online shop is pants for newbie . I sometimes wonder why people buy these cars when they so regularly criticise both the Caterham shop (usually it's expense) and Caterham components (radiators, OPGs, senders, etc). If you are not sure which bit you want, Nigel, give them a call. My experience is that they are extremely helpful and reassuring. I run most of the time without side-screens, but with wind deflectors. It must take all of 2 minutes to take off the side-screens and fit the SVA mirrors - which are good and effective. But as for side-screen storage if you want to change back when away from home? If you have a solution, please share it.
  9. Now off to Wimpole Hall (what a glorious day!). B1042 Sandy to Wimpole - great road, but pity about the extended speed limit.
  10. May have been me. Green with yellow nose (not nose band) at A5/A4146 roundabout early afternoon yesterday. 50 miles Leighton Buzzard to Towcester through the lanes, then back down the A5. Great run. And if it wasn't me, sorry to disappoint, but I was there anyway.
  11. Today about 4pm-ish on B4095 between Clanfield and Redcot, Oxon. I flashed the lights from a Silver Skoda . I was on return (the pretty way) from Bristol to Beds.
  12. Sorry for the slow response from me. 204-mile blat yesterday and today I have been greasing, oiling and cleaning. Lee - thanks for the lead. Pat - and thanks for confirmation they have been sold. Graham - YHM (or you will have shortly).
  13. I need to replace the rubber mat in the driver's footwell of an S3. Ideally new but, if not, in as good a condition as possible without heel wear marks.
  14. OK,thanks all. Looks like it's me, although nothing changed as far as I know. Will look at caches tonight. Over and out.
  15. I have it set to "one month". Aggregated just took a full 47 seconds to load and shows 5817 pages both before and after the subjects. I am running a fairly new iMac with otherwise sparkling performance.
