If it is as easy ad rubbing down and re-spraying i'll give it a go in a few weeks. I mentioned the probelm to the guy who works in the CC showroom. He stated shrink wrap. I would have thought this wouldn't be very strong and need replacing regularly. I have noticed the carbon fibre covers on seven speed but have never actually seen them on a car. I would say these should be pretty strong. They must be pretty sticky but are the sticky enough to stay on? Has anyone here used them and can confirm they are any good? Any advice?

I am not sure what the name of this is but the arm at the end of the steering rack that comes out of the main body and goes to the wheel. This has obviously received some damage during normal driving from stone chips and road "stuff". Mine is now a little rusty. It had been sprayed black when i bought the car but the rust has already started to come through. I assume this can be replaced but i have heard this is a quite a pain job. Is there anything i can do to bring it back to life whilst on the car and protect it for the future.

I have also just tried to gor for a ride and found i had a flat battery. I was lucky and managed to jump using my second car. I have been contemplating getting a battery conditioner for some time. I have done a bit of reserach but thought i might ask you guys what is the best one. I have checked the 12 volt ciggie lighter and it works when the car has no keys in ignition so thats good news for convienience charging from there. I dont want to spend £100 but i suppose £50 is a good start and should probably get me what i want. Any ideas? Would be great to get one at the weekend if possible but i dont want to be stuck buying a substandard one just cause i went to Halfords.

Can someone advise the best way to clean and polish carbon fibre parts. The main bit that needs sorting out is the dashboard which is looking a little dull. When I have seen others they are lovely and shiney and I want to bring this one back to life.

I have bought my first caterham (thanks to all those who offered advice). When i stop the car and turn the key from the ignition the engine continues for a couple of seconds before turning off. Is this a problem? I have a Rover 1.8 VVC K series.

Where can I get the best garage cover to protect a caterham? I assume it would be good if this is a dust cover and rain cover but I don't know if this means 2 separate covers.

Is armour fend worth the money? Rear wheel arches have been painted at great expense but do I protect them now with this expensive plastic sheet. This is a serious question and not sarcasm.

Can anyone advise if it costs much to swap the long type front mudguards for cycle wings? Is it an easy job? I assume you need to fill holes that were used to fix the old type as well.
