  1. Yellow and ally in the petrol station at the junction of seven mile lane this afternoon
  2. Check the black earth wire to the wing stay thats where i would start Nigel
  3. From the photos i would be asking for around £120 for the pair Nigel

Was the R300 k series fitted with an all aluminium radiator as standard The reason i am asking is after my car was repaired at CC it has been replaced with one that has the plastic top and bottom. would it be reasonable to ask them to change it for the all ally type as i have heard the plastic ones are prone to leaking ? Thanks for your reply it was,nt the immobiliser after all one of the wires had come off the back of the ignition switch As i was holding the transponder on the induction loop around the switch it was pushing the wire back on as i remove the transponder the wire would come of and the engine cut out .It may have been caused when my 9yr old daughter was playing in the car at legolands amazing machines event All sorted now and happy again 😬 Nigel

Does anyone know how to reset it or any other faults to look for its a k series (toad) type, I had trouble with it yesterday it started playing up i managed to start the car and then it cut out and now i can,t get an ignition light and is completely dead The battery is fine any help is appreciated Thanks Nigel
  8. i used black printer ink with some success put a little bit on a cloth then rub it in until the stain dissappears then polish with clean cloth
  9. Anyone Know where i can get my garmin 265w sat nav repaired .It turns on and the garmin logo appears and then turns off and keeps repeating this over and over again Thanks in advance Nigel
  10. The panel behind the seat can vibrate I applied a bead of clear silicone sealant between the panel and the chassis ear plugs can help Nigel

You will need: 2 cycle wing stays cycle wings new head lamp brackets when removeing the clamsyou may need to hold the back of the rivnut with mole grips to stop it turning and damaging the side skin you will need to remove and refit head lamps the tricky bit is threading the wires through the new brackets realign the headlamps remove the brake hoses from the caliper end and and reconnect through cycle wing stay it was pretty straight forward to do but i never did find a solution to covering the hole left by the clams Hope this helps Regards Nigel

  14. My R300 was popping and banging until i resealed the 4 into 1 pipe i used copper silicone from halfords it is now considerably quieter i still get the odd pop and bang but nowhere near as much as it was before it could also need repacking 🤔 Nigel
  15. John I got my 26mm Gates belt and auto tensioner from ebay for £38 just got to get around to fit it fit there is a good vid on utube on how to fit it good luck Nigel

  17. Peter You can concentrate on your new (wheel) nuts now or you could always give the old ones a polish in your spare time 😳
  18. Peter the contents of the catch tank is mainly condensation from the engine and smells of petrol on no account pour it back into your engine my R300 has done 23000 mls and has rarely needed topping up so i wouldn,t worry . Nigel

    It has a small dent in front right hand corner by the catch apart from that its perfect colour blue with orange stripe for an S3 Chassis £50 ono
