  1. Thanks Guys. You're Awesome. Regards, Rob.
  2. Absolutely nothing wrong. All very clean, I'm just a bit confused about these comments about making holes in the gasket.
  3. If I want to permanently remove the sump baffle from my 2007 k series: Do I need to modify the sump gasket? there are suggestions on the WWW that I do but I can't see why. Do I replace the aluminum plate as it was without the baffle? Thanks in advance, Rob.
  4. Culminator, The owner and friend of mine read your post and is interested in your roll bar. So impressed with the response was he that he has joined the club today. He doesn't yet have access to the site so can't respond in person but asked me to express an interest in the mean time. So if you could hang on to it untill he's been in touch that would be great. Alternatively I could pass on your email address if you send it to me. Many thanks, Rob.
  5. Sorry, yes that would have been my dyslexic fingers. It probably was KLD. Thanks for all of your help, I will pass it on. Regards, Rob.
  6. A friend of mine has bought a Caterham Supersprint (we think) Chassis no KDL.0155R. He knows very little about it and would like to know more so he can buy bits for it, such as an FIA roll bar. It has de-dion axle, I think it must have been one of the first. We don't know if it's a long or standard length chassis. Can someone please tell us more specifically what he has from this chassis number? This act of kindness will no doubt prompt him to join the club. Thanks, Rob.
  7. Sounds like your going with something mechanical rather than a dirty or faulty sensor. Hopefully I'll see it then; I'll take a look, thanks. Rob.
  8. 2007 EU3 K Series, 14K miles, no previous issues. Got a bit of an issue since the Seven came out of hibernation. Since the second time I used it this season it had been reluctant to start when cold, and when it does start the following symptoms exist until it gets warm. 1. Immediately from start there is a loud sucking sound from the air inlet (louder than I remember it anyway). 2. The engine hunts, as if it were on choke; if it had one. 3. The idle is in excess of 1500rpm; sometimes as much as 2000rpm. 4. There is a noticeable increase in fuel consumption. Once warm there are few if any of the above symptoms. The colder the weather the more acute are the symptoms, so I noticed them quite a bit the week before last. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Rob.
  9. Have our cars just halved in value? 😳
  10. Jon. Good to hear from you, that's of definite interest. I have no idea what the differences in dimensions between the imperial and metric but it might be very close, so it's worth a try. I'll get in touch and arrange a time to meet if that's OK. Andy, I'll dig out some photo's. I can't take any now as it doesn't fit any more. Regards, Rob.
  11. Does anyone have a half hood for a metric S3 with an FIA bar they don't want? I have a SBFS S3 Metric for NON FIA bar with Easy In on both sides. I will sell it for £150 or swap it for a half hood for a metric S3 with an FIA bar. Regards, Rob.
  12. If this is for a METRIC chassis and FIA bar then I would like it. I don't think this issue is yet cleared up. What year is your car? Rob.
  13. Nothing to do with me, just spotted it HERE. I'm still wondering how he "bought it in error" if he doesn't own a Caterham.
  14. If anyone, like me, has wanted to trickle charge their Seven battery without the trouble and risk of lifting or removing the bonnet, then they have probably, like me, thought about hacking into the loom to put a connector under the dash. I was investigating this idea the other day when I accidentally leaned on the horn button. Following one or two expletives it dawned on me that the horn is live without the keys in. Seconds later I had pulled off the horn button assembly and connected the croc clips of my trickle charger +ve to the back of the button and –ve to the steering column nut. The horn is such low impedance that the battery charges through it as if it wasn’t there.
  15. David, I'd be interested to know more about the diff if it is a LSD. I imagine it would be on a CSR. However, I have a Roadsport K series, so I'd need to know if it is compatible and what the ratio is. And of course what you'd want for it. Regards, Rob.
  16. I need a SBFS half hood for late Roadsport with double diagonal roll bar. I recently changed by roll bar so my three year old half hood no longer fits. ☹️
  17. I would take both Edited by - Rullingen on 25 May 2013 09:34:14
  18. A friend of my Wife has a 2004 Hyundai and has a failed ECU. She paid some bloke up front to fix the ECU (yes, I know ). He had the ECU for some weeks and then eventually sent her a different one in the post. There is some question over whether it is used or new. Meanwhile the car is stuck 70 miles away with no ECU. Now she's been told that when it is fitted it will have to be programmed to the car. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, is it possible for anyone but a main dealer to perform this operation? Any help would be appreciated.
