  1. I find the 7" perfect for the classic look I love . But every Caterham is nice , and except specials limited series, they are all differents

    K Series fluids

1600 K ex race car I use 15w50 Motul 300V, a race oil . Other oils with a low viscosity , give a too low oil pressure . Dangerous for the engine . In the 5 speed gearbox I use Red Line Heavy Shockproof red , same in the De Dion rear axle with LSD. Motul for the coolant and the brake fluid

    Ride height

my 1600K is 150 mm front ( chassis to ground at the back of the cycle wing )) and rear 165 mm ( chassis to ground at the front of the rear wing ) . The rear must be 10 or 15 mm higher than the front

    7" LED Headlamps

Why do not use the Caterham item if you like the look of Lead headlamp ? The risk is to have more a kit car than a Caterham and then a value decreasing
  6. Oups ! The Yokohama A 539 is better on the road as it is lighter , your car is more quick
  7. Nankang NS2R very good wet and dry in 13" but heavy and need to use 1.2 bar tyre pressure instead of 1.4 or 1.5 Bar used normally . Balanced the tyre is more complicated as the tyre is heavy if you don;t want to use too many weights . Only 18 000 miles and they need to be replaced . More economical, good on the road wet and dry , after 2 or 3 circuit laps they become slippery .
  8. Even with maintenance one day they fail . Mine failed and I decide to have the no trunnions kit from Caterham . A security update as a new De Dion Tube if your car is becoming old . My advise if you decide to keep the trunnions use 13" ou 14" tyres but not sticky ones . Since 1 year now, I have a new Caterham , built in 1998 - 1999 there is no more trunnion but for security I have change the De Dion Tube . Better steel now .
  9. use 15 w 50 Motul 300V oil and the problem will be solved
  10. Mine have about 50 000 miles mainly on the road , so never used :-)
  11. 6 BAR with Motul 300v 15 w 50
  12. 6 BAR with Motul 300v 15 w 50
  13. 6 BAR with Motul 300v 15 w 50
  14. 6 BAR with Motul 300v 15 w 50
  15. 6 BAR with Motul 300v 15 w 50
  16. I heard that it is possible to press the throttle pedal 5 times to do that but I don't know if it is with the ignition on or off ?
  17. It seems to be difficult as a small screw is hidden under the IACV Valve. But someone did this work and have some photos ? Many thanks for your help
