  1. you can add nankang NS2R Yoko A52 or 008S
  2. Why do that ??? If you mix 1/3 of Motul 300V 5W50 with 1/3 of Motul 300V 10w40 with 1/3 of Motul 300v 15w50 with 1/3 of Motul 20w60 , you will obtain a Marcel Pagnol Pastis recipe ... not sure it is nice for the engine If your question is how to obtain a 10w60 oil with a 5w50 already in the engine ... the answer is : drain the old oil
  3. and if you decide to fit the windscreen , the side screen and the hood half or not for traveling , you will regret it at the end .... A diet will help you to loose 2 kg with the same result .... You can also buy low weight wheels and tyre ... Sorry for this different point of view .

    Nankang NS2-R

    very good for me
  5. Nankang NS2R is the nearer Yoko 021
  6. In fact, you need to order the 2 new wiper arms as they will fit the 2 new wiper blades ( 19 cm ) instead of one 17 cm and the other 19 cm .
  7. Yes they have an Apollo Tank and foam Standard 120 HP I saw in England you use thinner oil for all the Ford engine 420R included , maybe a climate effect . However if you are happy with 5w50, stay with it . Here in summer, it is too hot for 5w50 and the engine is far more protected by a 15w50
  8. Sorry I didn't answer about oil pressure, the second owner who did not know that it was a former race car , it used 5w50 oil sold the car to me as the pressure was too low and he was afraid by that . As we experienced in France, some K series engine failure due to bad lubrication . As soon I got the Caterham, I filled the car with the right oil and then the pressure raised 1 bar . But what they use 5w50 in a road car : 1) For small trip, if you don't let the car to reach the good temperature ( oil temperature I mean not only water temperature ) before use the car at high rev, the 5w50 is better . 2) I For the valves hydraulic adjustment , during the 5 sec from start , it is better too 3) For emission purpose the 5w50 is better , and for ultimate power and the fuel consumption the 5w50 is better too But for longevity, it is not . I do prefer to warm up the engine With a K series the fuel consumption is ridiculous, so no matter. I do some times trackdays, one of my friend , the president of the French Caterham Club broke his 1800 vvc K series engines due to the 5w50 and he use now a 20w60 Motul 300V Le Mans which to thick from my point of view :-)
  9. This is the theory as the 50 is the same 50 but in reality no . The 50 of a 15w50 is thicker than the 50 of 5 w 50 . The proof is : the better oil will be a 0w50 or a 0w60 but it is not . As more the difference between the 2 numbers is great more additives you have in it ... and it is not very good at all
  10. Normal but not heavy duty, in France all the 1600 K race with Motul 300V 15w50 . 5w50 is too thin, the Oil pressure is too low around 2 bar at hot and then engines broke . With 15w50, no engine failure and the oil pressure is about 3-4 bar which is right . But you can use 5w50 is you use the car very gentle . An engine with 15w50 synthetic need to be warmed before accelerate hard . I think for a pure road car, 5w50 is ok but not for a former race car used somethimes on track like mine . Mine never work on 5w50

  16. Motul 300v 15w50 is the right one , use for races
  17. We have the same problem in France in ZFE area ( the big towns) after 2024 I cannot drive my 1600 K EU2 because I live in a ZFE ! I will look for a removal Company because my three other cars were not able to be used since 2022 september 1st.. My daily car is a Caterham so :-)
  18. Normally people prefers Carburators . Injection will transform the engine but you will loose the charm and the authenticity . Why don't you buy a Rover Caterham , il is easier .
  19. The right one for a Caterham is 73°
  20. Someone have an idea of the miles / gallon of a 150 HP Engine I had a sprint engine 1600 112 HP A2 cam and now a 120 HP rover 1600 K and is just like night and day ....
  21. I find the 7" perfect for the classic look I love . But every Caterham is nice , and except specials limited series, they are all differents
