  1. Just now (3:30pm, Tuesday 21st November) heading towards central London at Aldgate East (Whitechapel High St / A11). F1 team colours.
  2. Orange with a tall cage and possibly race stickers, heading north on the M1 between 21a and 22 this morning around 8:15
  3. Seeing as you waved back at the two loons in the Defender it’s not exactly a surprise spotted, but, whatever... :)
  4. ...suspected. Certainly looked like a Seven from our vantage point up on Rod Side, the ridge road overlooking the A57 as it climbs out of Sheffield to the west. Small, low, and had caught up with the line of traffic ahead... Couldn't make out a colour due to the low sun.
  5. Yes. It took a couple of weeks, I think (from memory). Neat little piece of kit, I'm impressed. At first I thought it was "too wide" because I was having trouble "just braking" any amount more than a light dab without catching it, so considered taking a hacksaw to it, but... 1. Looking at my brake pedal and where it doesn't have paint any more it's very clear that I push on the right hand side of the pedal, not centrally, presumably because my left foot on the clutch forces this (and possibly, for five years I've been trying to heel-and-toe...). 2. I had a longer think and realised my throttle pedal was closer to me than it needed to be. I've adjusted the cable to drop the pedal away some, which has put it in a far better place for h-and-t when you're hard on the brakes, which is when you need/want it. All in all, a great improvement!
  6. You were heading north away from the A632 at Slack. I was in the Red aeroscreened SV heading the other way (to the Leics / Notts / Derbyshire meet). Lovely evening for it.
  7. We at each other in the twisty bits just as you were approaching Owler Bar from the Chatsworth direction - I was in the red aeroscreened SV going the other way (heading for the Leics / Notts / Derbyshire meet, as it happens!)
  8. This is not a hassling, at all, as I get that people go on holiday at this time of year (etc) - is there any way of knowing my form submission has gone through? (Or, what are the expected response times?) Submitted it on the 6th, no response yet - I'm mostly concerned that the form submission didn't complete or didn't send the necessary notification. Thanks!
  9. In need of a heated windscreen for an SV. Uncracked and with the heating elements actually working, obviously; so unlike either of mine. All I actually *need* is the glass, with flyleads attached of course, and maybe the seal between the glass and frame. However, if you've gone aero of late on your SV and have a full heated screen assembly now taking up space in your garage, I'd be interested in talking. Ideally in a black frame but not really important as I can swap the bits across.
  10. Hi Shougle, Sorry, only just seen this! I don't immediately see any reason that your plan wouldn't work.
  11. Could well have been Mr Beardshaw, on the return leg of the Yorkshire Pie Run.
  12. ...for the start of the Yorkshire Pie Run. :)
  13. Blue SV with silver (or white?) stripes, 2-up southbound on the A614, late morning on Sunday. We were in the red SV heading north.
  14. Early afternoon today, M18 southbound not far from the M1. From memory the lead car was orange and had some non-standard LED DRLs, followed by a mostly white car with pale blue bits, then a yellow one possibly with black stripe(s).
  15. It also wasn't Gareth's yellow car (on a trailer on the motorway), and I've never seen five different yellow cars at a meet...

  17. Interesting. Simon would have been leaving in his yellow car at about that time, but in convoy with Dave and his green / yellow stripe, on the way to Bakewell. We were heading out also (red) but solo from Sheffield, and then in convoy with Philip (green / yellow stripe) and Chris (also red) from Bamford and out along the Hope Valley. Didn't see any other 7s apart from NicMac (blue) until we got to Curborough!
  18. Early afternoon today, a yellow racing 7 being trailered east towards Leeds on the M62 - mostly sheeted against the elements but with enough identifiable bits poking out for a spot.
  19. Too late folks, the nice Hawley's Mobile bloke has been and gone.
  20. I will very shortly (within a few days) be replacing my worn tyres with new, so if anyone wants 4off 195/45 R15 CR500 tyres, shout up quick so I don't ask the tyre fitters to dispose of them. Variously 2-2.5mm of tread left, possibly as much as 3mm in some places on some tyres, so increasingly not great on wet roads but an amount of track day life remaining. Roughly 18 months since fitting and they were bought new at that time, so they're still rubber not plastic. Free to a club member or £10 per tyre to a non-member. Collection only, from Sheffield. Comment and private message me here, or email syorks@lotus7.club Thanks!
  21. Increased visibility. The standard Caterham rear lights - all of them - are frankly terrible. Position, stop and indicator lights are universally poor. LEDs tend to be brighter and more noticeable. The front indicators are OK, but even then the LED versions are brighter and more immediately noticeable, as we've found on the Defender.
  22. Yes, the relay I've used runs a mix. I have LEDs at the rear and as the front repeaters, but for some reason I now can't explain didn't think to swap the incandescent front units for LEDs during the front lights refresh. The only issue you need to watch for is that some relays are *only* for LEDs, as these may be rated at a low power such as 30W - given an individual incandescent can take 20W, when you have more than one, e.g. have the hazards on, said relay will burn out. Ask me how I know. Or, just read about it in my blog... https://www.lotus7.club/comment/2120121#comment-2120121
