  5. Stu, blast, I only looked at the first line of the chart, grr think you are right my original ACB's were 245/50/13
  6. Many thanks for all the replies - Tom the cars still here, sorry just my attempt at a small joke, great if you move into the valley !!. Bought a pair of ZZS's 185-55-13's from BMTR as per Nigel's recommendation £100 plus Vat each, don't know how that compares but was cheaper than a quote I had a few weeks ago elsewhere. Delivery was good came first thing the day after. Avon make 245's for the rear (the YOKO's i've been on only went to 205) so I can return to the original spec the car came with when it was on ACB's Just been speaking to Automotech - looking good still. Been having a last measure up.
  7. Hi James - Thanks for your advice - I will be going for the four poster as you say because I dont have the width for a two post, I was also going to go for a jacking beam. As you so rightly mention - I dont actually have a car but thought it would be a sneaky back door to help in the popularity stakes.
  8. Hi All, Is anyone using an Automotech 4 post lift at home - would welcome any feedback prior to purchase - Also any recommendations for the best supplier for Avon zzs's at present, thanks as always - daveR.
  9. Many thanks Ian, I now get the picture, daveR
  10. Hello - Can anyone of wisdom tell me if the rear driveshaft on my LSD 1999 Superlight is a standard Ford Part number. The shaft is of the older smooth can type. I don't see it listed on Caterhams site and thinking it may be advantageous to just replace mine with the complete unit rather than swop the boots out. Best regards, daveR (senior)
  11. Many thanks for the reply John - Not being very techie what exactly does the 'swaging' involve. Best regards, daveR.
  12. Hi All, I have a tiny pinprick hole in one of my rear drivshaft boots which weeps a smear of grease over time. Must admit I have bodged it a couple of times with a tiny patch from a bicycle tire repair kit but really it needs changing. I have checked out Tim Pollards excellent article in LF from way back when which tells me the tin can on the older type of driveshafts needs cutting of and then 'swaging back on' - if someone can explain that bit to me and who can do the 'swaging' I would be super grateful as always. Many thanks Dave R (senior!!)

  18. Hi - I'm looking for a (some) Autocom - open face helmet - microphone windsocks - There like small black round foam gloves - used to come two in a pack with a velcro pad included. They fit over the microphones to keep the wind noise down and stop the VOX activating. At one time they were part number 43 - If you have any going spare that would be cool - many thanks, daveR.
  19. Hi - Gave you a flash from our Smart 4TWO - Got a puzzled look ?
