  1. Thanks Barkalarr. I had a look and even at that price think I will get some un-heated glass cut by a local place. Only a second-hand one would make financial sense otherwise... Cheers, Andy
  2. Sadly I don't have windscreen cover as I took track day cover on an Aviva policy through Competition Car Insurance. I thought it better to have the rest of the car covered as a track novice but Sod's Law states that the screen was bound to be hit on the road.
  3. I'm looking for glass replacement for my SV's heated screen after it got hit by a sizeable rock on a blat yesterday. Ideally with silver aluminium surround but could consider black with a view to fitting the glass in my existing surround. I'm not interested in buying new from Caterham and before I replace with a new piece of laminated glass without heating elements I thought I'd see if anyone has "gone aero" and now has an unused screen in need of a good home. 4. Yes please to a pair, Andy. Blatmail on its way
  5. Hi Andy, I am definitely still interested in a pair of brackets, please. I just did my first track day on Friday and had to resort to cable ties to stop the IVA mirror stalks falling off the car! On the plus side, Croft had the best weather of the year so far Cheers, Andy
  6. Looks great, please can I have your template? Was planning to fit a DRE shift light and this looks to be the perfect way to mount it.

  9. better not show my missus this post or I'll have another upgrade to do...
  10. Hi Smiffy Good to see your upgrades are already coming thick and fast . I haven't got as far as removing the brackets from the doors but would probably use a small bolt like the one holding the brackets in place now with a domed cap cover like these fixed on both ends with a dab of glue. Mine already has these on the inside of the door mirror brackets and they're neat enough. Also easily removed if you wanted to put the mirrors back on the door at any point in future. I'm sure others who have already solved this problem will be along soon with more elegant solutions
  11. I guess silver is the predominant screen finish as you say. For those with black screen or mirrors a can of hammerite would allow an easy upgrade. Having put my mirrors back on the IVA windscreen mounts yestersay I'm definitely on for a pair of these once you land on a final design. Usable mirrors will be a significant upgrade Edited by - AndyD on 23 Mar 2014 07:12:18
  12. Great project and lovely looking car!
  13. Tim, Having only just found time to fit these, I wanted to say a huge thanks for going to the trouble of organising this BB. I knew these lenses would improve the look of the car's behind, but it looks even better that I imagined and I prefer them to the regular clear lenses. Thank you
  14. Thanks to those that replied. With no further replies in the past few days I'm guessing that people generally don't have the newer injection type filler caps gathering dust in the garage so have sourced a replacement from www.thinkauto.com. They are the main distributor for Newton Equipment in the UK and can sell parts instead of the whole assembly with filler neck so a cheaper solution for plonkers like me who leave their filler cap in the middle of the road for a couple of hours and don't need a new filler neck etc. Just note that Think Automotive only sell Newton filler caps unbranded so their items don't carry the Caterham logo. If you ever find yourself in need, give them a call and ask for Tino
  15. Hi andy_h How are you getting on with the development? I'm keen to get the mirrors off the doors onto the windscreen stanchions so keen to hear your progress. Cheers, Andy Edited by - AndyD on 17 Mar 2014 15:10:43
  16. Hi Tim. It's a Sigma 150, so injected. Sounds like yours won't help me? Cheers, Andy
  17. I didn't realise there were different types, sorry. Mine is a Caterham one and says Newton Equipment on the back of the cap, so it sounds like yours is different. Thanks for the offer though.
  18. ...and a single red SPA mirror. I'm hoping they'll bring the rest of the car with them next time . Good to see everyone at the Old Mill in County Durham last night. Looking forward to getting out in the cars soon I hope!
  19. To replace the one that got run over by several buses after it fell off the back of the car after I filled up at the garage Edited by - AndyD on 17 Mar 2014 14:28:57
  20. Hi Richard, If you have one left that would fit my '09 SV I'll take it please! Cheers, Andy
