  1. I have a space booked for the test day organised by Richard P on Weds 25 March but I cannot now attend due to a work commitment (). Is anyone interested in taking up my space? I cannot remember but I think it is ~£80. It is the session when Richard is offering advice to drivers if wanted so good for less experienced sprinters (or seasoned veterans who want to see how RP goes so quick!). Send me a text/WhatsApp (07473 1457980) or just post interest in this thread. I am around today (Fri 13) but then out of contact until Sun evening. Jon
  2. Jonathan I have been thinking similar thoughts after some ups and downs this season. I know a few years ago, some folks got together and booked Blyton for the day and a coach. I think he covered 4 (?) drivers with the remaining slots for driving opened up to others as a practice day to help with the circuit hire. I was thinking of exploring something similar for Charlotte & I next spring after seeking advice from the ‘speed collective’. Happy to share something with you. I would be interested in the thoughts of others..? Sadly the only person who I remember doing the Blyton session has not competed for a few years. Jon

    Thank You

Another great year, as with most things it is the people that make the difference and we have an excellent atmosphere in the club. Thanks also to Chris for making it happen. Charlotte & Jon
  4. I agree although the space might be welcome for those camping if the weather is none to chipper... I am happy to give up too but it is difficult to know whether receiving the confirmations (bookings and payment) actually means success..? Is there a contact who can clarify? Chris - perhaps you can email Longton and make the offer on the basis of our apparent 'success' in procuring garages? Jon
  5. I went for 7/8, 15/16, 21/22. We seem to have covered most options! Not sure what happens next....
  6. I have made a booking and entered payment details which were accepted. I got a confirmation from Longton but it is still not clear if I have actually been allocated a garage...? Fingers crossed Jon
  7. Reserves In the confirmation of my application, it states the applications for garages is available from 8pm on Monday (23rd) on a first-come first served basis. I presume it will be a bit 'Glastonbury-like' with frantic clicking of the link. Perhaps a few of us reserves should give it a go - I am happy to try. Jon
  8. Chris Charlotte & I would like to come along. Jon
  9. Chris yes please - add us to the list jon
  10. Does anyone at Curborough live near Millwood Cars? I need to get an exhaust to Jon at Millwood and wondered if someone could drop it off if I brought it to Curbs on Sunday. Cheers Jon
  11. Gregs I have one Caterham tillet seat, no mountings though as someone else bought them. I posted a 'for sale' on BC/FB a couple of weeks ago: see: Caterham-tillet-seat-for-sale Send me a PM if interested or have any questions Jon
  12. Aside from sharing our general concern for the health of the competitor that crashed, I had rather mixed emotions on hearing the event was cancelled. Having shown spectacular ineptitude by spinning 3 times in succession at the same kink and ending up to varying degrees in the same gravel trap, I am rather pleased that the event is expunged from club history from a selfish perspective . However, Charlotte had smashed her previous record and was clearly ahead in our 'in car battle', and with the rain, she would have ended up the winner if we had carried on - a first! On that front I am rather sad that it was canceled .. Well done to all who broke their records, even if they do not count.. Jon (the lucky)
  13. Hi Charlotte and I both received our full quota of season passes for Gurston [now gone] and Harewood [still have 2]. We they are surplus and no plans to use them. Happy to send/pass them on to anyone who can use them. Jon
  14. I have sent you a PM with a suggestion. Jon
  15. Recently replaced the exhaust/manifold so now have the original collecting dust/taking up space. It came off a 2003 SV with 1800 K series; car has done ~22k. Some gravel marking around exit pipe but otherwise OK - see pictures. Could separate exhaust/manifold. Open to offers to offset a (small) part of outlay on new system () Jon
  16. My car has (had) leather seats so the the crutch straps have never been used having sat under the seats until I took them out 5 years ago! Please confirm if you do want the straps and I can work out postage etc. Send me a PM Jon
  17. I have an original Caterham Tillet Composite seat surplus to requirements. I bought 2 from fleabay but then discovered after fitting that I could only use one and still use a petty strut for competing . Seat is in good condition although there is some wear to gel coat at shoulder level (from a belt?) - see picture. Paid £390 plus postage on fleabay so ideally looking for same or reasonable offer. Jon
  18. Hi Following harness replacements for competing, I have a pair of original Caterham (Luke) 6 point harnesses from a 2003 SV - both in good condition, one not used for past 3 years, other from passenger seat so similarly little used. Not sure of value - say £100 plus delivery but open to offers. Jon
  19. Richy Thanks for the offer but after some other advice, I was able to 'adjust' the one supplied to fit - well at least it passed scruitineering at Curbs... Jon
  20. A friend who had a Robin Hood variant has a K&N Airfilter now surplus to requirements. Is it of any use to anyone? Model Model 56-9038. Could drop off at L7 speed evetnt or post. Small donation to club charity..?
  21. Hi I have a Ford 3.92 open diff for sale off my 2003 K series following recent upgrade. I presume fitted by Caterham from new, car has covered 22k: was very quiet and in good condition. Open to offers (~£250). Could deliver near L7 speed events, including Curborough this weekend.
  22. Justin, Richard, Chris i will take up your offer and I will use Richard’s advice to see if I can make the necessary ‘adjustment’. The SV is only slightly wider and there seems too be some leeway on the thread. Jon
  23. Thanks both - I have the older single diagonal FIA bar. I will have a ‘discussion’ with Caterham since their website simply states FIA bar. Clearly they only think modern! The array of bracketry sounds interesting, I will need to explore further. Jon

  25. Hi Interested in the silencer - just to confirm, I presume it does not have integral cat? Jon
