  1. after many years my sigma BC1200 has stopped working. need an odometer for my insurance anyone fitted a bike computer recently and recommend one? thanks David
  2. I continue to sit on the fence. Yes it would be good to get out and play, however have we been overly successful in managing the virus? Is it logical to meet with people from across the uk, most of us will have local exposure? I you enter, and the event happens but you are having to self isolate or have covid do you get a refund? on a positive side transmission is reported to be low when outside and i do not have any known health issues. I am sure I am not alone with my thoughts. David oh one other thing, if events are going to have reduced numbers and they are charging £150 for an entry, I guess there still covering there costs? (why run at a loss). Does this mean we have been over charge over the years?
  3. Thank you to Chris, for your hard work as comp sec over the years. Graham, Paul and Alan thank you for stepping up to the job. hope to see you all sometime in 2020 David
  4. I have cxd this season as I think it will be difficult to see the situation changing. I hope that full refund will be give to all who have entered events.

  7. Its amazing, we finaly have rule changes and I am getting ready for a new season of sprinting (class2? class3?) and what happens there is a mass effort to stop me winning the championship and my class. What is however very clear, the champoinship will carry on, As Chris have everything in place, what is unclear is what class I should go to. hope to see you all soon David
  8. Thanks for all your help now sorted. david
  9. was sent to brise and told could no repair it. offered a new one at £300 thanks for all your replies David
  10. Stu et al, Thank you for your posts. I was just looking for a bog standard starter without having to pay £200+. The seven rarely gets used last year 100 odd miles, and when it does its mainly for sprints and hill climbs. I have had a quick search on BT and it looks like a ford starter. just wanted to see if any new the part number, so i could cross check it. thanks again David
  11. Had a brise they say it not repairable. Not willing to pay £300 for a new one. Looking for a sensibly priced replacement.
  12. Does anyone know the part number for a k series starter motor? Need to replace mine. Thanks David
  13. Looking for a K series starter motor as my Brise is dead and non repairable. Anyone with a spare for sale? Thanks David
  14. Not getting emails from the club but noticed Clive won class 2 @ the weekend . Well done for the win. Thanks to all in class 2, not a stella year for me but still enjoyed the ups and downs.
  15. I had a misfire when I changed from eu2 to 3. Two issues. Eu2 plugs are different to eu3. Also need to have resister in them. 2nd issue was using pre owned coils that failed under load. Just a few ideas David
  16. lets start with well done to Matty for a fantastic run in class 2 yesterday. Also to Richard and Simon for there respective times. Thank you Mark for the bed for the night. Well update and review. land rover stopped on M5 on the way. land rover and trailer taken back to home by RAC while i drove to wiscombe. drive seven back home in a very resumable time. Up early: still no fuel to the injectors so change the solenoid. no difference, check cam belt ok Well the answer no live feed to the solenoid even though RAC chap said there was. Fuse ok so in the wiring. it looks as if the immobilizer has cut in while i was driving. spent all day trying to sort it. have done a bypass for a short term solution but will need to get it sorted. David
  17. Here is my video of my from sunday.
  18. The cheapest way is to get a new solenoid and then look at the wiring. I have a Brise starter and have gone through a few solenoids. I think they do not like the heat.
  19. I got one off ebay but does not work. its in a frozen state. unable to reboot it. awaiting supplier response. I should have checked it when it arrived. David
  20. Is Reserve like wine meaning special? We the event organizers have realized I am not special so have giving me a place. 1st time in a class 2 car on track and last time i was on a track was 2013. David
