  8. Peter. I only enquire as I will be slipping in the Newer engine soon and would like to check that the ECU is a supersport...The standard engine should run on the S/S ECU i believe and I wasn't sure if the ECU controlled the rev limiter.. Your thoughts O bender of propshafts and expert in the field of rivetting! eeezacheesy geeza 😬
  9. What regulates the rev-limit on a K-Series.??? Is it the ECU or something else... If it is the ECU, would fitting a supersport ECU to a standard K-series up the rev limit? This is merely for interest, I have no interest in revving a standard 1.4k series to 7600rpm (the s/s rev limit??) as opposed to the 7000rpm limit of the standard k-series... If this is the case, I would be able to check whether the ECU purchased with my supersport engine is the correct upgraded ECU! eeezacheesy geeza 😬

  17. Chaps, a problem is occuring and I would like some guidance as to the possible roots of the this! In essense.. I have replaced the thermostat, refilled the water system, bled the system. On driving the car, temperature stays fairly normal, however when idling it has boiled and does rise to 90 degrees plus, to alleviate this i turn on the heater and run this on hot, this bring the temperature down again. When the car boiled the other day, the fan did not kick in, however it does normally! There is no emulsion on the oil filler cap, no obvious oil in the water, however, when I turn off the engine after a run, the water system appears to have been pressurised and the header tank weeps water. Letting the engine cool and removing the cap from the header tank the water system remains pressurised. Thoughts?? cheesy geezer 😬
  18. Wnated urgently, Radiator for K-Series, aluminium or standard.. Anyone got one, with no holes?? cheesy geezer 😬
  19. I had the same problem when i first fitted my steering wheel, found that the upper and lower UJ had a Key, the bolt tightening the UJ fits through a machined 'divot' on the steering column, thereby not allowing any adjustment.. However, my steering wheel was not 180 degrees out! cheesy geezer 😬
