About £120 for the pair, with runners etc, am located in Hove, East Sussex. Basically, the seats should be the same as yours but cloth... I have upgraded to S-Types, much more comfortable, but have noticed that I am much further forward in the car and sit much higher! cheesy geezer 😬

Have decided to upgrade front and rear shocks to adjustables to allow me to increase the ride height a tad to clear the bump into my driveway. The existing bottom retaining bolt had seized in the mounting, therefore I managed to get hold of two later model bottom wishbones. On offering up the new shock, i noted that the top and bottom fixing are different diameters, however the bush in the top and bottom of the shock are the same diameter, to fit the larger top fixing. My question is, am I missing a 'liner type spacer' from the bottom blot that slots over the bottom bolt and inside the lower shock bush? *confused* Dannyboy cheesy geezer 😬

Due to the fact that my screen is a tad scratched and features many stoneships, does anyone have a heated screen for sale, preferably with black surround but not too important... dannyboy cheesy geezer 😬

Peter, I would love a better powerplant but cannot afford an oil tanker to follow my petrol belching beast up the road!unless you want to swap your ford for something that you can handle!! ! 😬 And I live in Hove so I am a soft southern shandy drinker who can barely lift his own arm! So yip, need a crane! 😬 cheesy geezer 😬

A gin wheel is a wheel with a rop attached as seen on various Laurel and Hardy films and many building sites! The loan of an engine crane may result in gin without the wheel being partaken by said lender at the expense of the lendee! It's only got to remove a flimsy 80k knackered old K-series and replace with another flimsy 12k supersport 1.4! My idea of an engine upgrade is 20bhp!! Got to start somewhere! but am in no hurry as the rest of the car will be rebuilt first! I could be some time!! cheesy geezer 😬

Ok..see you there.. I too am now 7 less.. have just doen the SORN for the rebuild.. You got an engine hoist or gin wheel I could borrow?? PS sorry for hijacking the thread! but at least it keeps bobboing up to the top! cheesy geezer 😬

Steve, I concur with your concerns, however, it was not really using water, does not blow white smoke etc and no emulsion on the underside of the oil filler cap... and no loss of performance!There did seem to be an awful lot of air in the system initially... only done 20 miles since it boiled and I subsequently bled the system.. will carry on, effect repairs and monitor.. Not really too concerned however, it will merely speed up the installation of the supersport engine that is still lurking at the back of the garage... just need to sort the renault out so I can take the engine out of the 7...anyone know anything about renault 19 diesel starter motor problems?? cheesy geezer 😬

Many thanks gents.. Will attempt the repair.. I have wired the fan to stay on constant until I get chance later to have a go at the repair. I have however noted that the thermostat housing is in a real bstard of a place to get at... here's to no skin knuckles!! Dan cheesy geezer 😬

Problem encountered. Car runs about 5 degrees hotter than normal during regular driving, On hot days car appears to run at about 90 degrees. On idle the car will overheat... The fan is now cutting in at about 100 degrees, rather than 85ish it was before. Top hose gets very hot, bottom hose from rad fairly cool.. difference in temp between top and bottom of rad.. Any ideas?? Thermostat? Knackered Rad..... or something more serious?? cheesy geezer 😬

Doug, to be honest, while we all take the p*ss a bit about the stereo, your fitment etc seem excellent. I wouldn't mind myself. Using the seven every day for the commute to work etc can be a tad tedious, as can sitting in heavy traffic/ traffic jams.. I personally use a personal minidisc player and headphones, which apparently is illegal! with a two way output plug for a second set of headphones should there be a passenger. As for the whole 'weight' issue! who cares... My car even has a heater!!! Dannyboy 😬 cheesy geezer 😬

I have actually cut mine down by over half, used a file to get rid of rough edges, et voila.. stumpy switch that I don't catch all the time!! cheesy geezer 😬

Has anyone recently upgraded to a widetrack set up and has a spare set of lower wishbones they don't want?? Is for a 93 de-dion... I can't get the shock mounting bolts out of mine 'cos a) they're seized b) The (once allen head) bolt is now circular!!! Dan cheesy geezer 😬

Anyone know approximately rpm vs actual speed... I have up(down??)graded to 13" wheels from 14" with 185/60/r13 tyres as opposed to the 185/60/r14 previously. I run a 93 de-dion with a 5speed box and 3.62 diff.... Just as a check really, I am aware that the speed may be reading fairly inaccurately now and don't think I would have a reasonable argument against a ticket from Plod!! Dan
