  1. weather forecast is great Cadwell is a must to drive, bag a bargin and help the club ...
  2. due to unforeseen circumstance ☹️ My place at the club day at Cadwell is available by agreement of Geoff blatmail with contact details and I'll ring back Geoff still has one official place available and margins for the club are tight however everything in life has to be negotiable
  3. or two places ☹️ just waiting a call back from Geoff ..
  4. You could swap the tyres on the rims This would result in even out the wear and being the correct rotation which I think is what Rollbar was saying £5 a tyre? An other point about running against the rotation indicated this may be an issue with insurance?
  5. The size of your rear tyre should be related to the power of your engine The balance of the car can be changed by rake, arb, geometry and don't forget tyre pressure etc Remember change one thing at a time if your want to know what is making the change Also, some understeer issues can be related to carrying too much speed into the corner, exist speed is more critical than entry speed
  6. Drive with care Changing tyres changes the grip so depending on how experienced you are on track or how hard you push then changing tyres will affect the grip levels and as such the balance of the car so drive with initial care to feel the balance
  7. "That's one neck of a spot from Switzerland!"
  8. driving other cars can be a problem I keep looking on the Radical website John's car has been for sale for a while, nice spec for someone

  10. What are the spring rates on standard Nitrons? if there is such a thing? cheers
  11. What do you mean by handle better on track? Unless you have already done this, then I would adjust what you already have Flat floor, front geomtry etc remember the biggest track improvement is tyres Palmer Sport Driver of the day 27mar10!

  13. Malc what are yes and noing to? I asked three question .... So is that yes it looks soft but no it does need stronger springs What about teh front wishbones?

    Cadwell track day

Driving on a circuit expect your mpg to tumble 😬 depending on the state of tune of your crossflow I guess a full tank of fuel will do the morning, the jerry can the afternoon (expect single figure mpg) As ECR says circuit petrol is often available at lunch time (not at supermarket prices) or there are fuel stations outside the circuit in Louth Palmer Sport Driver of the day 27mar10! 16. Hi Mark Serious issue with those brakes ... must have been the weight of the Vx Mr Wong had some go, not as bad as yours, on one of the Le Sept Paul was glueing his half shafts Derek & Andy were removing their gearbox Alex was replacing his front discs All in the car park of the Dryades hotel I went down for a spanner to fix the shower
  17. Slicks on MB CR500 of MB (for road they look so good) Wets (racing) on Minators spare set of MB being refreshed or spare slicks (good pratice to refresh MB every two/three years depending on use) If you're using mainly for track and use slick then investing in a set of wets just makes so much sense. The amount of grip from wets is just great and it'll put a smile on your face 😬
  18. thanks guys DJ not stamped on the new ones only what I assume to be a code / batch code Cheers
  19. Just replaced the front brakes (Caterham vented 4pots) Can these be skimmed? What is the minimum thickness? Cheers
  20. no experience with that particular tyre however Avon (crossply) seem to perform at 17-18psi warm and 21 all round when hot Set to 17, do some laps check again and reduce to 21 Look at the trye and consider how they feel and adjust accordingly ECK 16 IMHO does feel a little to low?
