  1. Needs to go - price reduced. Any questions BM me. Thanks Matt
  2. Hi Gregs79 - potential interest duly noted. Drop me a BM if you have any questions etc. Thanks Matt
  3. For sale again due to a time waster Price reduced to £1,250 - the car is gone ☹️ and the trailer is now very much surplus to requirements. Link to pictures in the original post.
  4. BTTT It may be possible to deliver the trailer / meet half way if Suffolk is too far in the back of beyond
  5. With the R500 now having found a good future home, I have no use for the tailer so am offering it up for sale. It is a single axle fully enclosed trailer, bought from the previous owner of my car / with the car. The trailer is a Woodfords and looks like it started life as a standard open trailer with the enclosure being added separately. A standard S3 bodied Caterham will fit in it. An SV might be a tight fit, although seeing as I haven't tried I can't be sure. I am happy to take some internal measurements if required. Pictures can be found here Great for transporting the seven fully protected from the elements. I also have an unused tyre for the trailer, which I never got round to having fitted. This will be included as part of the sale. The trailer is located in Suffolk - currently stored at a kind friends house, who has a far larger drive than me. He used it at the weekend (for sofa collection - the joys of an enclosed trailer) and confirmed that all lights and indicators were working as they should be. Viewing can be arranged as required. I am looking for £1,250 ono. Any questions, just BM me. Thanks for looking. Matt Edited by - mattobrien on 21 Jul 2013 09:22:01
  6. BTTT Still available if anyone is interested. Thanks Matt
  7. Ipad 1 for sale. 32gb wifi model, not 3G. It is boxed with the charger and has been kept in an Apple case all it's life. The case is included in the sale too. the iPad is in good condition. There are two pixel size marks on the screen, but these do not detract from it's use IMHO. The case is in reasonable condition, but has done it's job well in keeping the iPad safe. I am after £150 plus postage for it. Postage will be via Special Deliver to ensure that it can be insured. Not sure of the postage cost, but I suspect around a tenner. Will confirm once packaged. This model seems to go for around £200 on eBay, but I thought I would offer it up on BC, prior to resorting to trying my chances with the auctioneers. Any questions please BM me. Thanks Matt Edited by - mattobrien on 16 Jan 2013 19:11:26 Edited by - mattobrien on 24 Jan 2013 15:02:56
  8. I think that soft bits have a number of templates for the different roll cages. When I sent mine off, they didn't need any measurements for this, or for an adjustment to allow the head restraint bolt - just a few photos. Matt edited for my legendary ability for the inclusion of typos Edited by - mattobrien on 4 Feb 2012 08:39:06
  9. Not sure that I recall seeing it light up on mine. Will have a look next time I fire it up, although being track only, that isn't likely to be until the spring. Matt
  10. Posting on behalf of a new owner and soon to be club member. The car is a ex racer (possibly academy or whatever predates it) a 1.6 8v vauxhall live axle. During the last track day I went on said car came along and there was a small oil leak in the inside of the offside rear wheel. It was suspected to be coming from the axle. The owner has taken it to the garage (I don't know which one) and has emailed me the following; verdict from garage someone has spot welded the end of the half-shafts so they think i need a new pair of half-shafts as the existing ones will continue to wear the seals as the spot welds have damaged the shaft (difficult to explain on email!) They think I need a pair of half-shafts Morris marina / Ital rear axles Any idea where you think I can get a pair ? I wanted to ask one of the more learned members to sense check this and to also ask if any light can be shone on the solution / where to source necessary parts? All info, advice and help very gratefully received. Thanks Matt
  11. I am currently with Flux, but the policy is underwritten by Chaucer. I have recently insured my Elise with Chaucer directly (who pointed out they also cover my seven), so I will probably go directly with them next time. £200 for an R500 isn't bad. Matt
  12. I aim to change my oil every third track day, that said I am not sure my car has made it three track days without having to have something done to it that necessitates the engine coming out and the oil being changed Here's hoping it has a little more reliability over the coming months Matt
  13. That sounds about right. I used to run mine at 18psi all round, 185/60 R14 A048's on my last seven. I found at 18psi, I was getting even tyre wear across the width of the tyre. I now run at 16 on my R500, but that is track only. Matt
